The she-cat nodded in agreement, thinking of how nice it would be to have her own long-term goal. Well, she decided she would like to have kits, but then again it would get in the way if she ever planned to be deputy. Once more, she would be more experienced from everything, since there were just so many paths a warrior could take. However, Scarpath was not truly as dark as her name, she planned already on what kind of cat to avoid becoming. The sun was rising (yes, rising) as the two finished up, and then the warrior stretched out to relax. She could probably get a quick hunting patrol in with her apprentice before the sun reached the height of StarClan.

Rainpaw dropped the last of the bedding in the elders den, and trotted over to Scarpath. He impatiently flicked his tail and shifted his paws around in the dust. "Well, what are we going to do now?" He paused, and an excited look came into his eyes. "Should we hunt? Practice fighting?" He sprang to his paws, waiting for her answer. Being an apprentice is going to be great! He thought. For a few moments, Rainpaw thought about when he was a kit. The days when he was a kit seemed so far away to him, and yet, those days were not long ago.

"Hunting." It was a one word reply, and she said no more, nor gave indication of adding anything before the warrior was in a full bound. She didn't go at full speed, of course, knowing that Rainpaw's legs were shorter than hers, but as they made their way through the territory she began to slow more in order to dodge some of the more impassible ground. Finally, she stopped in a spot covered in shadow, and sank to the ground. The she-cats jaws opened to scent the air, and her eyes shone against the darkness. Slits focused, looking for the slightest indication of movement, and possibly her next meal. For the moment, she saw nothing, and cast a glance back at Rainpaw to see how her apprentice was doing. She flicked her tail over to a shady spot, to indicate where she wanted him to be for the moment.

An excited gleam came into Rainpaw's eyes as he nodded. He did not speak as he dashed off behind his mentor, and tried to keep up with her. As he ran behind Scarpath, he did his best to avoid making too much noise. He stopped behind her and his gaze darted from bush to bush, looking for any movement. The expression in Rainpaw's eyes was one of excitement as he looked around, however, he could see nothing, and he looked back at Scarpath. She flicked her tail to a shady spot, and Rainpaw nodded. He walked over to the spot where she had flicked her tail to, and looked over at Scarpath, his tail twitching with excitement.
