Swanpaw always had wondered what it was like to die. Her mother was dead, her father too. She stared at the floor, mismatched eyes seeing a hazey fuzz. She blinked, trying to regain her sight. She walked into the camp, looking around. She could only see amorphous shapes, nothing was distinguishable from te object next to it.
She felt her legs falter, but she stood her ground. Her pupils were enlarged, as if she were drugged by a cutter. "Mooo... Moooooooo.... Moonfaaa... Moooooonfaaaaaang." She said quietly, her voice sore, and she felt as if she were unable to articulate them. "Swaaaaa? Swaaaan. Swaaaaaanpaaaaaw" She said, feeling her legs falter again. She fell, unable to hold herself steady. "Mooo... Mooooo... Mooonpaaa... Mooooonpaaaw..." She wailed, calling the name of the cat she had a crush on. Cats were pointing, wondering what was wrong with the daughter of their past leader. "Cloudpaw... Nightpaw... Shadepaw... Fogpaw... Fognight, Shadecloud... Pawcloud, Pawnight, Pawshade, Pawfog... Fogtail, Shadeheart, Cloudface, Nightfrost..." She ran through the names of her siblings, obviously quite confused at what she was saying. "..Starclan help me..." She said. The strange shapes before her were darkening, her breathing was laboured; she couldn't move. She felt warm, boiling in place, but the feeling between her two forepaws made her feel cold, so very cold. "I'll see you in Starclan... Mum... Dad..." The shapes disappeared, her breathing ceased, and her temperature slowly dropped. Snowpaw was dead.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Dreamkit watched as Snowpaw died, she started running over to her still warm body. Why, why? She let out yowl to Starclan saying why, would you do this? Dreamkit thought that Snowpaw was so strong, just like her. She wanted to be her friend so much and hunt with her. She wanted Burntface over here to comfort her. She looked up to the sky, praying to Crowstar, she thought Crowstar was the one looking over her like an angel. "Burnt...B.....Burntface! Why did they take her?" she quietly hoping Burntface is right next to her.

Burntface looked down at Dreamkit, and licked her. "It was just her time to go. At least she is with her mother and father now. She never had both of them like you did." He sighed. Some kits were just lucky they had their parents, Snowpaw had been one of the unlucky ones. Her mother had given birth to her and her four siblings during a battle, and was murdered by Blood. "We must tell her siblings. I thjink Cloudpaw will be hit hardest." He continued, bowing his head in respect for the fiesty young apprentice.

(( Ha! I was just going to post in this thread and read your post, Crowy- perfect. xD ))
Cloudpaw had only just drifted off, tired of everything; being blind, the disadvantages because of it, and just about anything else he could think of. He was just in a bad mood. Since he didn't like being so bitter, he went to the den to go to sleep. However, with the commotion going on outside, he grumbled to himself and got up. "What is it now?" he meowed, glad he'd gotten over the running into the den walls thing. By now he knew most of ShadowClan's pathways by heart, even without seeing them. "Can't a tom get some sleep?" He paused and scented the air. His expression went blank. The apprentice moved forward slowly and sat beside his sister, leaning in to sniff her. Sure enough, she was cold compared to living cats- not gone long enough to bring a chill to him, but just enough to make him understand- his sister, and closest sibling, was dead. He showed no expression for several heartbeats. He just sat, staring at nothing- and it helped that he couldn't see anything in the first place. Then, he pressed his nose to his sister's flank. "I'll miss you... see you in StarClan." he murmured, too low for any cat to hear. Cloudpaw got up, walked back into the apprentice den, and laid down again. He squeezed his eyes shut and didn't make a sound. How could they take her? he thought angrily. Now I can't ever speak to her again... and who'll wake me up for training? I trained with her... now what? Silentstar will have to do everything now, and he'll get tired of me. Then I'll end up in the elders den because of my helplessness. It's all StarClan's fault. Why'd they take Snowpaw? Why'd they make me blind? He kept his eyes shut and longed for sleep to take him, but his thoughts kept disturbing him. He just stayed in the den, being useless- that's what he's best at anyway.

"Burntface, didn't you know that my father is gone? He hasn't been seen for months, I only have you, the only cat that I feel close to. Poor Snowpaw, she was actually had a better life than most cats, some are all alone without anyone to help them, she had many friends, I hope death was painless to her. She is with her parents now.... Were is Smokestripe?!" she yelled running away, they didn't know that she, of all people have a family that cared about her in the way she wanted, and didn't think of her as miss trouble or mean.
