"But-but-but!" Ashkit stammered. He knew that his mother would not be pleased with their newest expedition. It had been barely sunhigh by the time they had sneaked out, but now it was well past. The black kit shuffled his paws, maybe Iceshadow could help them get out of trouble.... Yes! That was it! Just have Iceshadow say he wanted to show them something, or something like that!
"Umm... ... Iceshadow?... .... .... ... Do you think... that you could help us get out of trouble with our mothers? I know my mother would keep me in the nursery until I was an apprentice if she knew this was originally my idea...." Ashkit hesitantly mewed. Would the warrior say no? No, no. He said he liked the kits, so he wouldn't want them to get them in trouble... ... Would he?

Snowleaf padded behind cautiously, holding a mouse firmly in her jaws. A twig snapped under her paws. the white she-cat flinched as the whole group jumped.

Ashkit let out a sight of relief. Iceshadow wasn't going to get them in trouble. Ashkit barely took notice of Snowleaf's noisy appearance out of the blue. No, not today. He'd had enough fun for a moon in the time period of this adventure. But, now it was going to come to an end, why did today ever have to end?

Feather kit looked at Snowleaf with a mixture of curiosity and reverence. "H-How did you follow us?"
If she can camouflage with those bright colors, I can to!! She thought. Featherkit had always regretted her difficult colored pelt because she had thought it would make her a bad warrior. Hey, wait, maybe she could be my mentor!!
"You are cool!!!!!" Featherkit said, excitedly.

Blackkit was barely paying attention now. He was dead dead bored. Sure, Iseshadow was cool, but when would they get to the fun part? He slowly padded over to Featherkit's side. He had a weird feeling around her now.
"How is she cool Featherkit? And how did you get here Snowleaf?" He asked curiously.

Ashkit was about to argue to stay out long, but after a few moments of though, the black kit decided it would be best not to. After all, what kind of argument could a kit make with a warrior. It was probably best to just do as Iceshadow said.
The young tom stood up and slowly started back toward camp at a snail's pace. Maybe if he went slower, then his mother would be so mad...
