Summerpaw weaved gracefully through the pines. She was daydreaming. ShadowClan had finally attacked. They were crashing through the brush, huge and scary. She ran to greet them. And it wasn't friendly. She slashed at each one, and they fell to the ground. Everyone would be SO thankful to her! "Summerpaw. You have earned your warrior name. You are now.........
Ugh! The daydream always cut off there because she didn't know where Summer could have a cool ending. Summerleaf.... Summerpool.... Summerpelt....
Summer as a prefix was in general not very threatening. She sighed, and deftly killed a mouse. She picked it up in her mouth and kept on walking.
Summerclaw.... Summerheart.... Summermoon....

"Summerpaw! Get your head out of the clouds and find some prey!" Cloudwhisker hissed at the daydreaming apprentice.
The long furred white she-cat had been there watching Summerpaw since she scared off a squirrel that she was about to catch.

Summerpaw shook her head to break her trance. "Sorry, Cloudwhisker!" she meowed. She had to focus! If she wanted to become a warrior, she had to earn it! She had to work hard. Wanting it wasn't enough. She pounced on a mouse.

"Nice catch." Cloudwhisker mewed, happy that Summerpaw had refocused.
The white warrior spotted a vole nibbling on some grass. She stalked up to the unknowing animal and pounced. It's small life was over the moment she sunk her teeth into it's body.

Summerpaw's mouth was starting to crowd with all of the prey she had caught. She was tempted to swallow, but she didn't want to break the warrior code. That was a one-way ticket to being held back and it would take WAY longer if she broke the warrior code to earn her warrior name. Whatever it would be.

Cloudwhisker began to bury her freshly caught vole. She looked over to Summerpaw, still with a mouse dangling in her jaws.
"You do know that we bury the prey until we come back to get it, Summerpaw." the white she-cat meowed.

Summerpaw nodded. "I like to stock up prey before I bury it. That way I won't forget any, because then there'll be less holes scattered all over the place. I couldn't be able to remember them all!" To make her point, she dug a hole, and dropped her mice in it and covered the hole with dirt with a swish of her bushy tail.

"If you say so." Cloudwhisker muttered.
The she-cat scented again for prey. The air was abundant with scents. Oh, how she loved new leaf. Plenty prey for the whole Clan to go around.

Summerpaw wove in between trees. She crouched. Was that a kittypet? What was that thing that she smelled? She had never seen one of those kittypets or loners that she had heard so much about. She wanted to so badly, though, and tell all of the other apprentices about it.

Cloudwhisker pounced on a mouse. Swiftly killing it, then burring it.
She turned around, and Summerpaw was gone. "Apprentices." she murmured.
The white she-cat caught a glance of the apprentice weaving through the trees. Not to disturb her, nor stick around to gain anymore 'Summerpaw tips', she stalked away. Careful not to disturb the prey.

Lila took every step lightly and carefully. Her amber eyes jumping from place to place. But, there was only one thing she was really out there for.
The gray and white housecat kept moving through the towering pine trees. She heard a rustle and panicked. She looked around frantically and saw it was only a mere mouse.
Lila took another step forward. Crack! Her heart skipped a beat, then she realized that it was her, stepping on a twig.

Summerpaw's green eyes widened. Her tail swished back and forth. She was blended perfectly with the dead pine needles, and she flicked her ear. She saw the cat move around, an enormous ball of nerves! She was like a rabbit! She stepped on a twig. Summerpaw wanted to teach this kittypet a lesson. If it was a kittypet. She jumped out of the bushes. "RRROWR!!" She grabbed the kittypet and they rolled for a few heartbeats.

Lila was taken back as a wild cat pounced on her.
"Aaaah! P-please don't hurt me! I-I-I come in peace!" the housecat yowled. She was completely defenseless as the wildcat attacked her.

Summerpaw jumped away, and sat on her haunches. "Wow! Are you really a kittypet?!" she said, green eyes filled with excitement and her tail swishing rapid-fire.

"Kittypet?" Lila meowed. She was shaking from the terror of the wildcat attacking her.
Kittypet... .... Kittypet? he silently pondered. She recognized the word, and yet it was so far off.... .....

Summerpaw stared at the kittypet.
"You don't know? You're a KITTYPET! You belong to a Twoleg." Some kittypets were so stupid, she thought.

"Oh, yes! I live with my housefolk. And I like to be considered a housecat, thank you." Lila mewed, her voice shaky.
The gray and white housecat managed to get to her paws. Legs shaking, the small cat stood up tall to the wildcat.
"Do you know of a cat named Rowanstripe?" she asked.

Lila hesitated. If she told her, then would she want to take Blossom away, too?
"That doesn't matter. I need to speak to him." she meowed.
What happened if the wildcat refused? She would go back to her nest, tail low.

Summerpaw shrugged. "He's not around right now. What did you want to tell him?" The kittypet looked scared. "Is there something the matter?"

"Tell him... .... .... Tell him that the Blossoms will never leave the trees. He should understand." Lila mewed, thinking of a quick metaphor.
"Oh, it's nothing. I've never been out here, and it's frighting." she meowed.
Hopefully, Rowanstripe would understand what she was trying to say. If not, then this effort was useless.
