I'm a totally, uninspired nerd right now, and while clearing out my bookmarks (I've got a ton ) I came across the Author Chat place in Wands and Worlds. So, I was reading over the most recently released on (#5, from last August) since last time I read it, I didn't quite understand since I was still on early New Prophecy (okay, everyone knows I've got spoiler problems here...). And I came across one question that caught my eye and kind of concerns some conflict here on the site:
Cherrypetal(Q): do you think that you might ever do a special edition where the seekers bears meet the warrior cats? VickyHolmes(A): Alas, I don't think that will happen. For a start, Seekers is set in a specific location - North America and the Arctic - while the cats live in a sort of conglomeration of England and the US which couldn't actually exist because there's too much wildlife! So our cats and our bears will remain separate, I'm afraid.
A combination of both the UK and the US? Really...
From: wandsandworlds.com/community/node/5784 about a fourth down the page.
Just thought I'd share. You know, create more of a conspiracy in my boredom.

travesty!
Personally, I actually think that warriors is set in a place that could be similiar to my town. Why is this?
1- For Thunderclan, we have a fairly big woodland right next to a main road. It's a dual carriageway and just the other day I saw a dead badger by the road. 2- Riverclan, we have the lovely River Dee and several streams coming off from it. THe river is rather busy like they say, and has plenty wildlife near it. 3- Windclan, we have loads of fields and the odd bit of moor here and there near teh farms. 4-Shadowclan we have what used to be the marsh. It's still pretty yuck and sinky, and it's all yuck. Has lots of frogs.

Wow, that's a sweet place that sounds identical to the books. Lucky... You get to live in the diversity of the UK.
So, from now on when I think of the original warriors, I'll think "Brokensoul's town..."
I just like to throw random findings out there, you know ^^

I know you had said something about wolves not existing in the UK. I hadn't really thought of bears ever being there, it never popped into my mind. (The question was taken from the author chat, I've never read Seekers and don't plan to.)

^Yep. you do get wildcats in the highlands of Scotland and I did find a feral cat last week.
I think I'll call that kitten Puddle :>
The only things we don't really have are bluebirds. You know the song "There will be bluebirds over the White cliffs of Dover"? We have bluetits and blue footed-boobies
Britain has odd names for birds :<
