Countless seasons and moons ago there were a group of wild cats living in the forest together. Of course it wasn't always peaceful. This group of cats were all connected under a single religion. They believed there were a clan of cats just like them up in the sky. They called them Starclan. They soon had constant fighting within the group, so they decided to split up into different clans. Fast cats who belong in the open called themselves Moorclan. Strong cats who love the shady dense forests called themselves Darkclan. Cat who had an unusual fond love of water called themselves Creekclan. They each took enough territory to support themselves, and their likings.
Many decades later, these clans still survive. Not much has changed except a couple of things. Under the light of the full moon, these cats all came together under a sacred truce. A young yet strong ambitious cat from Creekclan had formed an allegiance with other souls like him from with other clans. His name was Deathclaw. Deathclaw and his followers attacked during the time of peace, breaking the sacred truce. Almost all of the cats had been completely killed except for about a couple of cats. Deathclaw took control of the remaining cats called themselves Deathclan. Being a non-believer in Starclan he never went to go get his nine lives. He just simply renamed himself Deathstar.
Over 15 years later Deathstar died of old age. The clan was big, and was filled with Deathstar's offspring. They continued Deathclan's traditions, until leaf-bare came. Many cats got ill from an unknown virus. Others died from starvation. Kits were being born still born, if they were alive at birth then they would only last a day. One by one the clan grew smaller. Times were hard and they seeked the medicine cat for advice. Leading Berrytail to go talk to someone/thing they haven't heard from in over 15 years, Starclan. Instead of being in a starry clearing Berrytail was in a dark spooky forest. A single cat appeared, it was Deathstar.
'Father, where is Starclan? And why aren't you with them?'
'Berrytail, Starclan has shunned us. They no longer look after us because what I have done to the clans.'
'Wait, clans? There is only one clan, which is Deathclan.'
'No, you are wrong. There once was 3 clans until I killed them all. I now realized in my old age that what I have done was wrong. I only wish that I could go back in time to stop this from happening.'
'But what do I do about the current clan? Cats are dying.'
'Rebuild the former clans. Try to redeem yourselves before its too late.'
The image of Deathstar faded away. Then with this new important message he knew what he had to do now. He had to rebuild the clan into the oringinal way it was. Being a place of high honor, he managed to pull it off. The 3 original clans now rule the forest again. Yet the sickness, and death keep coming. Deceased cats from their clan now formed a new group of starry ancestors. They still called themselves Starclan, but were weaker in controlling nature, and destinies for cats compared to the original Starclan.
But wait, where was the original Starclan? They were still there, yet invisible to the current cats. They have more control over things than the other group. Like Deathstar said, Starclan was blind to Deathclan for what Deathstar did eons ago. Every day the cats face redemption for what their kin had did. Signs show that the original Starclan stopped smiting them, and let them live. Will they regain their ancestor's trust?
