Aspenleaf stared intently off into the distance. She could see cats moving around in other territories. It gave her a terrible feeling of intruding on their already-scant privacy, but also made her feel so powerful. The breeze rippled her short sandy coat. The she-cat blended perfectly into the Outlook Rock. It was almost creepy. Someone could have stepped on her and not known she was there until they felt her body squish under their paws and her angry hiss, that was how much she blended in.

Mooneye trotted onto the outlook rock, and saw Aspenleaf. She stalked over, "Hey, Aspenleaf. Are you here all alone?" Mooneye looked around, she would never want to sit there alone, with all of the other clan cats around. She looked back at Aspenleaf, and smiled, she blended in so much with her surroundings.

Aspenleaf smiled at Mooneye. "Of course I'm alone. Do you see any other cats here?" Aspenleaf swiveled her head around to pretend to look around. "Don't see any other cats. D'you?" She kneaded her sandy paws on the rock. She was a bit nervous that she had upset Mooneye.

Mooneye cringed slightly at the acid in Aspenleaf's voice, then laughed, "No, I don't see any other cats. I'm sorry, that was a stupid question." She looked around, "I'll stay if you want, I don't have much else to do." Mooneye licked an itch on one leg, and sat.

Aspenleaf shrugged. "There really isn't much happening. I'm just sort of...watching." Aspenleaf's mind wandered to the loner who had recently joined. Aspenleaf liked Cherryfall. She was very nice and sweet. But others didn't really think so.

Mooneye nodded, and looked at the ground, "I guess, I'll leave then. Bye," She licked her lips, and turned, to slowly walk away, looking over her shoulder at Aspenleaf, she seemed to be in a weird mood, Mooneye sighed, and sat, "Are you okay, Aspenleaf?" Mooneye worridly watched her.

Aspenleaf shrugged. "Lately I've been a little edgy. Falconheart said that something bad's about to happen. And really, she knows that sort of thing really well. Maybe she's in touch with StarClan, or it's just her instinct. But I feel it too. There's this sharpness in everything, and I'm nervous for WindClan about those cats. Dead Plains cats, they're vicious. I heard that silver she-cat, Skysong, talk about how she defeated one, but it seemed that she was the only one who said anything about beating up a Dead Plains cat. Skysong is one of us WindClan cats, like her sister Starpool, but she was basically raised in ShadowClan. ShadowClan is far more powerful than we are, and if only Skysong defeated a Dead Plains cat, then I don't know how we're going to cope."

Mooneye looked at the ground, and cleared her throat, "Actually, a loner named Blizzard, came into camp, and warned us that he overheard the Dead Plain cats talking, and they said they were going to attack us next. You should go talk to him, I think he's still in the camp. I can stay here." Mooneye watched Aspenleaf carefully, waiting for her reaction.

Aspenleaf stared at her in disbelief. "I was there, silly." Did Mooneye have the memory span of a gnat??
