"Sunrise." It was still chilly out as Frostheart breathed that simple word into the air. It may have been new-leaf but it was still cold in the morning, before the sun had its chance to thaw the frost covering the entirety of his home. Frostheart was thinking, as usual, about the particular goings on of his Clan. It was by chance he was born to Shadowclan; via his mother. She hardly seemed suited for the rough and tumble group. Especially considering she had always been sick, always weak. Now, Frostheart was intensely loyal to his clan. They had given him no reason not to be. However, he felt as if he had failed them; during the battle with Blood and his cats, Frostheart had been out on one of the rare patrols he goes on; they had been at the furthest point away from camp when the attack had happened. There was nothing he could do. Despite avoiding conflict at all costs.. he knew some we're hurt. He could have prevented it.. Sighing, he stared at the sky, turning a burning shade of orange before starting to dim out. It was never bright on Shadowclan land for very long.

Stormcloud trekked through the territory. He normally would still be in camp, watching the sky make it's journey through the sky. Then, once light out, go hunting.
It's just he couldn't take it anymore. Sitting around camp, acting as if everything was normal, but knowing inside that life is up-side-down. Ever since that one Gathering. His life had seemed so wonderful, until.. .... .... The last gathering. She had told him something that made his life both amazing, and that much harder.
He just didn't know.. .. ... It seemed so vague. But, it still was just.. ... indescribable. How could have this have happened? He knew how, but it was just unexpected. He had mixed emotions about it all, it some how would turn out alright in the end, wouldn't it?
The gray tom shook his head. Still looking to the ground.
Then, he ran into something. Not something; someone.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I wasn't watching were I was going." he meowed, realizing that it was Frostheart. Stormcloud backed up, to give the tom some space.
How could I have been so mouse-brained? Not even watching where I was going.. .. What am I doing with my life?
The tom had considered ending it, but no one would benefit with that. He loved her too much, but it was so wrong. What would they do now? His love for her was never ending, he wanted to shout out for the whole world to hear, but knew that it must be kept a secret.

Startled, Frostheart jumped to his feet when he was run into, but quickly sat back down.
"No, no. Don't be sorry, it's quite alright." He said, his voice calm as usual. Stormcloud was a tom who seemed quite level headed, like himself. Now, because of this, it was obvious that something was on his mind. Otherwise, he never would have run into Frostheart.
"Are.. you okay?" He asked, cautiously. He knew that a lot of toms were secretive of their thoughts, and would occasionally lash out. He didn't know Stormcloud well enough to be able to tell.
"If you don't mind me asking, that is." He said, as an added precaution. Curling his thin white tail around his stained paws, he sat lightly on the cold ground. It was never.. 'comfortable' on Shadowclan lands, but it was livable.

Stormcloud thought Frostheart's question over for a few heartbeats. Usually, it was simple, and he could answer that particular question right after the other cat had spoken. But, now, he needed to be more careful.
"Me? Of course I'm alright. Why wouldn't I be?" he mewed half-heartedly and forced a laugh. As soon as the words left his mouth, he knew that Frostheart wouldn't buy it. He was smarter than that. Even a kit could tell he was fake his 'jolly mood'.
The gray tom let out a sigh. Which he had been doing a lot lately. A few moons ago, he wanted to change his life. Stop doing the same old thing every day. But, now, it was more complicated. Sure, his life had brightened up, but, then again, it had also been going down.
He had been growing more distant from his friends and Clanmates. Hardly ever having a moment to spare because all day he was either meeting with Nightsky, or hunting and doing patrols trying to make up to make everything seem normal. That part bothered him the most. Because nothing was normal. Everything had changed. But, life went on in ShadowClan.
"Actually, nothing is really okay. Everything had changed, like the world has been turned up-side-down. It all seems like a dream. But, I can't wake up." he meowed lowly. For a moment, he pondered if Frostheart had even heard him. But, then it occurred to him that it didn't matter if anyone ever heard him again.

Sighing, Frostheart nodded. He didn't really have any troubles at the moment, other than feeling guilty, but he had his share in the day.
"I would ask what happened, but that is up to you if you want to tell me or not." He said, looking at the other male calmly.
He enjoyed having nice heartfelt conversations, but it didn't seem most others were up for it in Shadowclan. That was part of the reason he had his 'friends' among other clans. Of course, the only chances they had to speak were during gatherings..

Thoughts raced through his mind faster than a WindClan cat. Could he tell Frostheart about Nightsky? Could he be trusted?
Surely, he could. But, it didn't seem... .... Right. What if another cat were to overhear the conversation, then the whole Clan would know. Would Crowstar exile him for loving another not from ShadowClan?
He could be unpredictable at times. You never really knew about him.
The gray warrior had to come to a decision soon, or Frostheart might really ask.
"Can I trust you?" he meowed, lowly.
If Frostheart would tell Crowstar, or Silentstripe, then he would be done for. The Clan turning their backs on him, sent into a cruel and lonely life of a loner.
If push came to shove, he could always see if Amberstar would take him, he was an able body. Rather strong, too. But, he would be useless on the open moors. He could imagine himself attempting to catch a rabbit.
Not a particularly pleasant scene at all.

Gazing at Stormcloud intently, Frostheart nodded. "Yes, I can be trusted." He said, nodding hard. "I.. understand your concerns, but I promise I will keep it to myself."
He figured it must be something rather big. He felt.. good, being considered; even. To be trusted with this information. His tail flicked back and forth like a metronome, counting the seconds.
He glanced up at the sky; the sky had faded to a sickly yellow color, silhouetting the dark trees even more than they had.
[Sorry for the short posts; I have severe writers block at the moment]

OOC: That's alright.
Stormcloud drew in a deep breath, carefully picking out the words to explain. But, there seemed to be no right way to explain it. It was pure love he felt, but his mind told him it was so wrong. Going against everything he had been raised on.
"I'm in love. With a WindClan she-cat." he whispered, hoping that no one else was around to hear.
As soon as the words left his mouth and floated into the air, it felt as though a giant weight had been lifted off of his back. Like the guilt of it all had flown with those forbidden words.
It felt magnificent.
Why hadn't he told another cat about his love before? He could of told Hawkshadow, but he seemed to be too busy with Clawear and the kits. Clawear had to manage those eight kits, so she always had something to do.
But.. now, it felt right to tell Frostheart such a thing. Just like it felt right to be with Nightsky.

Nodding knowingly, Frostheart chuckled. "This is big, but don't worry; I will take it to my grave." He said, nodding again.
"I.. Know what its like, to have feelings for other clans, and the cats in them. I have never felt quite right here." He said, his eyes downcast for a moment. Once, he had made more than just a friend at a gathering, when he was very young. The young she-cat died soo after their first meeting, however, ambushed by some wild creature during a patrol.
"After my father was run out of the clan and my mother died; I never felt entirely right here." He said, his ears flicking.
"Honestly, one of the only things that kept me here at first was my sister. Now, I of course have a sense of loyalty, but it is somewhat strained." He kept his voice low. Speaking of such things was not a particularly good idea; especially in Shadowclan.
He wondered idly how those kits would feel, especially if they knew.. their father was not in their clan. How would they grow up? Half-clan cats were looked down upon, thought less of. Either way it would be known that their father was not in Windclan, though they may not know exactly who he was..

Stormcloud took in ever word Frostheart said.
"I've always had friends in other Clans, but there was never a cat like Nightsky." he meowed, still keeping his voice low.
"I've always felt loyal to ShadowClan. Even when my brothers died, it still felt right to be here. But, then again, I wasn't very close to them. I guess I'm lucky. My mother is still living in the elders den, my father was unknown. I never cared to know every part of my family tree." he continued.
Spilling everything out felt extravagant. Like bleeding out all of the bad blood that had poisoned his veins.
The gray tom wondered for a moment if his kits would ever care about their family tree. And if Nightsky would even tell them. He knew she had a good plan, but it still didn't feel right.
But, alas, it was still a better idea than killing Ghostwind. He never usually turned to violence and blood spill as an answer, but it seemed that it might be the only way to get to Ghostwind.

He nodded, glancing back towards the camp. It was getting to the point where patrols were going to be sent out, for hunting and border patrol. He was careful to keep his voice low.
"The clan will be awakening soon so we must stay quiet.." He sighed heavily. There were a lot of mixed feelings he had about his clan and his family.
On one hand, he wanted to know if his father was still alive; on the other, he hoped he was dead.

A faint rustle soon ensued to become a violent hiss. From the brush stepped SilentStripe; The massive deputy of ShadowClan. The black and white tom pressed forward on his two warriors. His eyes set on both of them; searching deep within them for something. Apparently not finding what he wanted he simply purred and took a seat, wrapping his tail around his legs and lapsed his sliced tongue across his paw. A devilish smirk appeared as he raised his gaze to StormCloud.
"Befriending Cats from other clans? Not a wise move if you are a pure heart towards our Clan StormCloud."
The elder stopped for a moment before releasing a yawn.
But who am I to judge? A beaten old elder who was almost killed on ThunderClan Territory; A mangey old cat who befriended a strange loner? Oh, But wait...Last time I checked I am also the oldest cat in the forest, Along with the Deputy of our beloved clan...
Glaring now to FrostHeart SilentStripe moved forward and gave the feline a quick lick across the forehead leaving a small trail of blood, A sign of appreciation from the strange tom.
"You know, With MilkPoppy doing things she shouldn't be I really shouldn't have to worry about things with other clan cats."
Waiting a moment the deputy purred and then licked StormClouds cheek, showing the same gesture.
" So I won't... Keep yourselves quiet. And FrostHeart, Your leading the dawn patrol. Take whoever you want."
The deputy finally showing a small hint of appreciation or love turned to leave to area. Slowly heading back towards the camp.

At the first sound Frostheart bristled, terrible punishment rushing through his mind as the Deputy had obviously heard at least a section of their conversation.
After listening to the older cat, he nodded and purred slightly when he was licked, knowing that they were safe in their secrets. Hearing his orders, he purred shortly again and nodded.
"Yes, Silentstripe. Stormcloud, will you join me on patrol?" He said, glancing towards the other tom. They would be even more alone away from the camp, and have more secrecy to talk.

Stormcloud was frozen as Silentstripe emerged. Though, he made sure that nothing of interest escaped, or was shown.
Relief flooded over him as Silentstripe appeared not to have heard him saying Nightsky's name.
He knew he probably went too far, saying her name on ShadowClan territory.
"Yes, Silentstripe. Stormcloud, will you join me on patrol?"
"Of course, Frostheart." he meowed. The gray tom usually never went on Dawn Patrol, but times have changed. At least it wasn't sunhigh patrol... ....

Standing up, Frostheart flicked his tail to the side to shake loose any dirt that may have caught onto it. Having white fur, it was difficult to keep it clean.
"Alright, we should be going."
Starting off, he figured they would go straight to the border and basically walk along it, though there is no reason any cat should be sneaking onto their land; even during the good times it was hard to live.

Stormcloud gave a curt nod. And followed the white tom. His legs stiff from sitting, the gray warrior stretched as went on.
"Very well, Frostheart." he meowed, his voice cool and steady. At least that was a benefit of going against the warrior code. You learn how to disguise your inner-most feelings and cover them all up. But, the hard part is that you can almost never slip up. Even when you think you are safe.
That lesson he had learned today.
How could he reveal his secret like that? He trusted Frostheart, but he had not expected Silentstripe to show up. At least the deputy had said he would not tell. But, who knew how long that could last?
At least Silentstripe was better than no deputy at all. He had mentioned something about Milkpoppy. For a heartbeat, he pondered what the elder tom had in store for her. Probably apprentice duties... he guessed. But, something else told him he was wrong; dead wrong.
The gray tom shook the thought away. He should be focused, it was the dawn patrol after-all. [/blockquote]

Stretching his own legs, Frostheart yawned as they trekked through the soggy grounds toward the boundary closest to the thunderpath; next to the Thunderclan borders.
Once they were away from the camp and very obviously alone, Frostheart glanced back at Storncloud, only then daring to speak.
"I feel I must apologize.. I almost got you in trouble, Stormcloud." He said, sitting softly on the ground. They were near enough to the Thunderpath to hear the roaring, but not near enough to see or smell it just yet.

Stormcloud closely followed Frostheart through the territory, feeling as though something wasn't right. The tom shook the feeling; it was probably nothing, after all.
"I feel I must apologize.. I almost got you in trouble, Stormcloud."
Almost instantaneously after the words left the white warrior's mouth did Stormcloud respond.
"It's not your fault. You couldn't of had any idea that Silentstripe was going to over hear." he meowed.
He knew they were close to the Thunderpath. But, not yet close. Just one of those things on ShadowClan territory.

There was a loud rustling in the bushes, and after a few moments Blackpaw emerged from the large Holly thicket. He dipped his head to the two older warriors, "Um. Hello, Stormcloud, Frostheart. I was, er, just trying to learn my way around the territory." He meowed nervously. It had been right after the attack with blood that he had his apprentice ceremony.

Stormcloud looked at Blackpaw for a heartbeat.
"Shouldn't your mentor show you around?" he asked. Usually, in most cases, mentors would take their apprentice out their first day to show them the territory. And it looked like no other cat was with young Blackpaw.
OOC: I've got to end Stormcloud's part in this soon. I need him to be out of all of his role plays for... Something special.
