The Waterfly Effect If Water-fly is used for fishing in the east, then it rains in the north. [/sub] The sky was covered in a thick, gray cloud that seemed to go on to the ends of the world. Rain poured down from the sky, but the air was still warm.
Mosseyes let out a sigh. She hated how the rain came down so hard on the open moors. She wished she could just go relax in one of the few WindClan camp dens. The medicine cat den always smelled sweet and Silverpaw was always very welcoming.... No, the Clan needed to be fed, that's why she brought her hunting patrol here. The Abandoned Badger set always was rich with plenty of prey in all of the seasons.
The tabby she-cat gave her pelt a shake in a sad attempt at getting rid of some of the rain that plastered the fur to her sides. But, it was no use, for the rain was just coming down that much harder now.
She quickly gave that up and tried scenting the air. Though, the rain had washed aways most of the scents from prey, she could barely make out a few rabbits and maybe even a mouse or two. And she could easily scent another cat from her patrol coming up.

"The rain isn't letting up, is it?"Breezesong asked as she padded up to Mosseyes, a rabbit in her jaws. "it just makes it harder to hunt in this weather"she mumbled. "We should head back to camp, we can't find much prey with the rain like this. But I could be wrong, we don't we look around some more in case we spot any prey?"She suggested

Mosseyes let out a sigh. "Not any time too soon, that's for sure. Sometimes I can just hate the rain..." she mewed.
She knew that they wouldn't catch nearly as much in this weather, but still it didn't feel right going back to camp with a small catch. Especially with so many kits in the nursery growing up so fast. One of which was her good friend, Nightsky. Nightsky had gotten close to Goldclaw rather fast... But that was aside the point at that time.
"There's always something good in the old Badger set," she agreed, gesturing to the entrance to the set once inhabited by those terrifying black and white creatures. "The prey probably would like it in there as much as us." [/blockquote]

"I know, yet it's hard to get them for when it's bad weather, the place gets dark and you can't see and it makes the prey harder to catch."She rplied. "Well, Let's look around."She set the rabbit down at the nearby tree and sniffed the air, "A faint scent of rabbit is nearby, but if we want to catch it, we better hurry"Breezesong said shaking her fur, hoping to get it even the slightest bit dry.

"When don't we have to hurry to catch rabbits? What are you waiting for, come on!" Mosseyes mewed.
The tabby pelted in the direction that the rabbit was coming from. Now even her skin was wet. When will this rain ever stop? She questioned silently, though knowing that it had no answer. She kept her pace until she found the source of that delectable scent; A plump, brown rabbit. As soon as it saw her coming, it set off.
Mosseyes chased after the prey, full speed. Turning, so that it fled where the tabby had come from. And hopefully setting it up for an easy kill for Breezesong...

"I'm coming,"She laughed softly running after the she-cat, looking ahead, she spotted a rabbit coming her way, making an easy jump, she lept onto the rabbit and bit down on it sucessfully killing it. "There shouldbe another"she mumbled to Mosseyes.

Mosseyes stopped to catch her breath. For once, she wished that it was a cool rain like those in leaf-fall instead of the warmer ones that usually come with green-leaf. At least there's no thunder and lightning, she remembered. Now, that was bad weather to hunt in.
"Nice catch," she panted. After a few heart beats, she scented the air; Rabbit.
"You're right, it shouldn't be too far from here," she mewed, nodding. She was ready to go again, thank StarClan for stamina.
