Answers:
1. Posting a lot of literate Roleplay posts, and being a naturally kind authority figure could get someone to be a moderator. 
2. When kits are born I'll post a form and what kits are available. From there, all you have to do is fill out the form. First come, first served.
3. If you take good care of books.
