Owlpaw looked around in hope there would be a ghostly figure of StarClan waiting for him to let him have amazing dreams. He looked back at Dawnlight.
"Now what do we do?" he asked looking around.

Dawnlight sighed and flicked her tail over to the black hole. "Follow me..." she mewed and walked over to the black hole. She waited for Owlpaw to follow.

Owlpaw did as he was told, he followed Dawnlight over to the black hole. He wondered why she always sighed whenever she talked, this was bringing him down. The night had a chilling feeling in the wind, he could sense that something was watching him.

Dawnlight smiled. This was Owlpaw's first visit to the Moonstone as an Medicine cat apprentice. "Owlpaw cheer up!" she mewed and dissappered into the darkness. A chilling feeling made the fur on her neck stand up.

Owlpaw didn't feel that good, he started sneezing like crazy. Soon his nose was bright red. His vision went blurred, he feel to the ground. |

Dawnlight look back as soon as a loud noice came from far behind. "Owlpaw!" she mewed and ran to her fallen apprentice. "Owlpaw can you here me?" she asked and rested her mussle on Owlpaws flank.

Dawnlight nodded and layed down. She looked into the darkening trees. A movement caught her eye near the line of trees.

Owlpaw closed his eyes, he knew it was something but what? He tried to smell what he could before a huge jaw snapped around his neck pulling him in every direction. The dog smashed Owlpaw right into the trunk of a tree. The huge dog leaped again bitting Owlpaw on his leg. Now the dog stopped and turned to Dawnlight, a flash of light lit around the dog's body showing a cat no other person could forget, Tigerclan's leader. Way back when they ruled part of the forest with the other big cats. The dog's eyes gave away something but what, fear, happiness, a warning? He walked away into the cave, a crow yelled. Owlpaw lyed by the tree, from away you couldn't tell if he was dead or not. Dark red blood covered his neck and head were he was hit. The only sound was the wind.

It happened so fast. One moment Dawnlight had her ears priked for any sound of danger and another her apprentice was lying on the ground NOT moving. She had caught site of a flash o fur protecting Owlpaw. She looked around for a moment and felt the earth shake a little. It took her a few moments to take in what had happened. The scent of dog was strong still. It had dissappered into the entrance to Mother Mouth. She got to her paws slowly and looked around for her younge apprentice. A tabby pelt lying motionlessly near a tree caught her eye. Her eyes filled with tears as she released what had happened. "Owlpaw!" she cryed. She ran over to the lump of fur. "Oh, Owlpaw!" she mewed saddly. She looked at Owlpaws flanks. She caught site of them rise and fall slowly. She looked at the wounded that were bleeding badly. There was no way to save her apprentice. No herbs could fix this mess. She would leave it in the paws of Starclan. She looked at Owlpaws clouded looking eyes. She whispered as softly as she could in his ear. "Owlpaw, Can you hear me?" she said softly and waited.

Owlpaw could only hear what Dawnlight was saying in a blurr, he did a little yelp showing that he could heard her. He didn't want to open his eyes, no, if he did he couldn't see Dawnlight cry. The sounds around Owlpaw seemed just to be Dawnlight's breathing. Owlpaw moved his paw on top of hers and did a short purr. He couldn't tell if it was the end for him or not.

"What do y-you want?" He said opening his eyes just a bit. He could see a light, it was warm. He couldn't believe it, he was calm. Everything was slowing down and now he turned his head over to-ward's Dawnlight. He smiled, but blood dripped down as he did so. He eyes were open enough to see her eyes, mouth, and other features. He'd only been a medicine cat apprentice for a little time, it was a clan world which he wasn't born into. It would be the end for him, he looked back up at her one more time them turned his head back to-ward's the warm light. It was coming closer, he closed his eyes and took another breath, as he let this breath out he didn't move. Owlpaw said one last word to Dawnlight before the light took him over.
"I-I'm sorry." He whispered to her.

Dawnlight stilled. "Owlpaw!" she mewed sadly. She sat there for many moments starring down at Owlpaw. She final moved away and look around. Light was fading. It would be dark soon. She whispered, "I love you Owlpaw, Travel safely to Starclan..." her voice traveled on the Wind. A pelt brushed hers and she jumped. "Who's?" she turned and saw nothing. A scent filled the air. It was Owlpaws. She smiled and picked up Owlpaw and started to camp.

The dog looked around at Dawnlight, so her thinks she can get away from me? The dog charged at Dawnlight bitting into her neck, the taste of blood was good. He let go and grabbed Owlpaw and ran away, he left Dawnlight lying on the ground. They were his prey, and one trick came up in everyone, go for the youngest. He smiled, he licked the blood off his muzzle, dropping Owlpaw with a thud. By then they were far away, any cat wouldn't dare come here. He picked out the dead cat again and started walking back home.
((Don't come after the dog, I have a plot in mind.))

Dawnlight fell to the ground with a thud. She growled. The dog had bit her neck but not to deep to kill her. When she got to her paws and she looked for Owlpaws body. "No!" she mewed angryly. His body was to far away to catch it now. Tears fell from her eyes. SWhe walked slowly to the Windclan boarder wait a little while to see if she could tell a cat that there was a dog by the moonstone.

Littleheart was skipping around, after her accident she was more free. She hummed to a song made up for Cherryheart. She thought of her lovely kits. She smiled thinking of them, she turning in a circle a saw a cat. What's her name? Oh ya, Dawnfight or something. Littleheart purred, it was good to see the young out and about. She skipped over to this cat, she stopped purring, why was this cat sad. Were tears salty? Littleheart tilted her head, I wounder... Littlheart licked Dawnlight's eye, yup they were salty. She sat down, what do you say when you meet someone new?
"Yellow, I'm Littleheart, are you like Dawnfight? Your eyes are salty, yuck!" She said looking around at the blood on the ground. She had already tasted blood, yup it was the same.

Dawnlight looked up and saw a gueen named Littleheart from Windclan. "I'm Dawnlight, riverclans medicine cat." she mewed sadly thinking of Owlpaw. Her eyes teared up again. It was werid for a cat to lick her eye. She rubbed her eye with a paw. "I was waiting until a Windclan cat came bye so I could them that there was a dog close to there territory." she mewed and flicked her tail back over to the blood on the ground.
