Troubled Skies

Riddlekit ran through the reeds. She felt free compared to in the Camp. Firekit and her would be an apprentice in only a few days. She stopped and she felt a cat almost run into her. They were only half way to the river. She turned around and looked at Firekit sadly. "Firekit, I..." she started and thought she heard something up ahead. She twisted around and saw nothing but shadows moving in the Darkness. Must be prey she thought. She turned back to Firekit. It was hard to see his rusty colored pelt, hers on the other hand was white and gold so it stuck out. "I want to be an apprentice really bad and I fear if I come to the river with you It might be held back for another moon..." she mewed. Firekit and her was a good friends. She hoped Firekit would understand.

Firekit looked up, looks like there is something she fears. They were always the ones who followed the rules, but just this once they would be free. It was the middle of the night and they would be back by, no before sun-up. He smiled.
"It's only for a little while and also it's the middle of the night, no one will be out here." He mumbled looking around, there was something moving out there.

"Okay..." she mewed still not so happy about it. She trusted Firekit. She turned and headed over to the River
