Emberpaw sighed happily. She loved it when the cool water washed on her paws. she spotted something shiny. The black and ginger she-cat stared at it. It was like a shell, but it was all rainbowy. She decided to ask someone when she got the chance. Then she noticed movement behind her. She new that it couldn't be thunderclan, so she turned around, claws sheathed.

"Greetings," Longfeather growled. He wasn't himself today, hence he was in a grumpy mood. His normal, charismatic self had died.
Tail twitching, he glanced at the shell Emberpaw had unearthed and flicked his ears, uninterested. Normally, he would have been curious, but today was his off-day.

Longfeather frowned, but his face quickly turned placid like usual as he took another look at the spoil the apprentice had found. "Well, it's a shell," he meowed softly, a quite growl still rumbling in the back of his mew. His tapered tail tip twitched, his old inquisitiveness coming back.
((OCC: It's just how my characters are xD It's their personality to be off-ish, and you're not the only one who gets their slights ._.)) ... ((Or at least I hope xD But never think it's because I'm mad at you! I'm just role playing ^^))

Emberpaw saw something else sparkle. she quickly dived into the river and retrieved it. she spit it out and examined it. it was like nothing she had ever seen. a large rock, smaller but more shiny than the moonstone. with a circle of some kind sparkly rock..

Longfeather's whiskers twitched as he waited for Emberpaw to retrieve what she was apparently searching for. When she did, he leaned closer to take a look at what she had found. His ears swiveled forward sharply and his frame froze, still yet slightly quivering with tension. "Ah..-" he breathed, eyes widening. "That..." he gulped, voice no longer soft or soothing; instead it was rigid and shaky. For the first time since he had joined RiverClan, he had broke his composure. How pivotal.
He jerked his head up and managed to curl his tail tightly over his paws. He closed his eyes and breathed out. "Forgive me," he meowed, averting his eyes from the find. Voice calm again, he murmured softly, "Those are intriguing artifacts, no?" The Abyssinian could recognize a ring from anywhere. His dark, confusing pool of a mind registered it rather easily as something associated with Housefolk... Twolegs.
How could this old toy from his past come to appear in his most recent game?
((OOC: Longfeather has mood swings xD Also... he was once a kittypet by the way -bred by breeders-... he's touchy with Twoleg stuff x3))

Longfeather blinked. "Are you going to take them back to camp, young one? They would be good to line your nest," he meowed softly, "The other apprentices would be jealous," he cared to add, not really meaning to be slight. Trying to keep his breathing regular, he twitched his tail and waited for her answer.

Dawnpaw jumped out of the bush, with her claws stretched out. She was close to landing, when she shall Longfeather and Emberpaw. Emberpaw had just ran off with out saying hi again. She deiced to scare Longfeather, but knew it would not work.
"BOO!" she cried, tiring to sound scary.
Longfeather just looked at her with duel eyes, she could not tell if he was scared. Most likely he had bin in a fight with one of the elders about ticks, but he was always like this... so she had nothing to worry about...
