Mistpaw padded into the Riverclan camp, and breathed in the air. Familiar, but distant scents filled her nose. She sighed, and looked back at Nightpaw, "I can't do this... Everyone will think-" Nightpaw hushed his mate, "Mistpaw, it doesn't matter what the other cats think. We're here to talk to Lightstar." "But what if Lightstar doesn't let me join Riverclan again?" Rivertail tenderly laid his tail on Mistpaw's shoulder, and mumbled through the fur of the kits he was carrying, "I don't think Lightstar is like that, Mistpaw. You and your kits need a place to stay." Nightpaw shook himself, and laid the kits he was holding on the ground, "They're getting kinda heavy." He looked into Mistpaw's eyes, "And Rivertail is right, Lightstar is a good cat." Mistpaw softly laid Songkit on the ground, "I know.... But I left Riverclan, Nightpaw. Are you not afraid to return to Thunderclan?" Nightpaw twitched his whiskers and purred, "Only because I won't have you there, my love." Rivertail sighed, and walked between them, "I'll go find Lightstar. You wait here with the kits." He padded off toward Lightstar's den. Mistpaw swallowed, "I'm afraid of what he's going to say...." Nightpaw rolled his eyes slightly, but softly meowed, "Don't worry about it, Mistpaw. Everything will work out. Calm down." Mistpaw nodded, and leaned against Nightpaw. His warm breath on her ear made her feel safe, and gave her a feeling of comfort.

Lightstar gave a low sigh; there had been enough affairs going on in all the Clan's to last a lifetime, and he was closer everyday to thinking that he would lose all nine lives over the stress of having to deal with all the secrets floating around. Perhaps it was time to stop trusting cats so much; after all, he had always been honest with them, but whenever he turned his back Lightstar was always finding some other dark twist that had befallen RiverClan.
His belly brushed against the ground as Lightstar crept out of his den, a short yawn and his mouth gaped, before closing again. His gaze swept over the camp, descisions rolling through the tom's mind. Would Dawnlight be bothered if he visited her at this time of day? Or would he have better luck seeking the company of one of his warriors? He padded over to the fresh-kill pile and picked up a fish and settled himself back in front of his den to eat.

Dawnlight poked her head out of her den when the scent of kits and Thunderclan filled the camp. They camp was filled with snow that had fallen last night. She breathed in the cold scents. Her breath disappeared slowly. She blinked her eyes when she saw her Leader by the low prey pile. She sighed, leaf-bare was one that could do many things to all. Yet it was a comforting site when you left the clans needs behind for some time alone to think. Dawnlights fur rose a little at the site of a young apprentices pelt coming through the Camps entrance. She was followed by too other toms. They smelled of Riverclan and Thunderclan. Fear was carried in the apprentices pelt. She ran past Lightstar over to the three cats. "What happened?" she asked and looked at the kits that were being carried by the toms. Shocked, she looked back at the apprentice, getting a closer look. "Mistpaw!" she said questioningly. Her voice carried gentleness and worry. She looked back at the kits and her eyes caught the eye of one of the toms. He smelled of Thunderclan. She shock the thought away and grabbed one of the kits in her mouth gently. "Get them to the Nursery." she ordered and walked quickly into the Nursey. She looked at one of the queens and said. "Take care of these kits until told so." she mewed and dropped the kits lightly in front of the queen. Her tailed brushed against the kits back and guided it to the belly of the awaiting queen.

Mistpaw gasped, and bunched her muscles to sprint after her kit, but Nightpaw jumped in front of her. "Mistpaw, she's a medicine cat. Let her take the kit to the nursery. I'll get two and you get the others." Mistpaw picked up two of her kits by their scruffs, and followed Nightpaw into the nursery. They set the kits next to the one already laid there by Dawnlight. Mistpaw looked sharply at the medicine cat, "They're my kits, and if Lightstar lets me stay, then I'm going to take care of them." She lashed her tail, "And if I can't stay, then I'm taking them with me." Nightpaw leaned against his mate's side, and guided her out of the nursery.
Rivertail padded over to Lightstar, and dipped his head slightly, "Greetings, Lightstar. I apologize for disappearing the other night. I came upon Nightpaw and Mistpaw while she was kitting. So I stayed." He looked over his shoulder, and watched the two apprentices walk toward him. Mistpaw yowled, "Lightstar! I'm so sorry..... I wasn't thinking! I mean, I love Nightpaw.. But... But.... I'm sorry...." She sighed, and looked at the ground. Nightpaw purred tenderly, and pressed his muzzle into Mistpaw's shoulder, "Easy, my love. Don't upset yourself." She leaned against him, and buried her face in the long, soft, fur around his neck.

Dawnlight looked sharply back at the apperntice. "You will end up taking care of your kits, but think whats best for them. It's better in the nursey then out in this leaf-bare weather." she mewed and turned back to making sure the kits were comfortable.
