A cloudless gray sky hung over the WindClan camp. The sandy dip was lit with the morning sun.

Mosseyes glanced around, hoping to hear news about Amberstar's whereabouts. The Clan leader had been gone for nearly three days now. At first, Mosseyes had just thought that Amberstar had made a solitude journey to Moonstone and stopped to hunt on her way back. But, now worry shone in her eyes.

The tabby she-cat shook her head. You've got to organize the daily patrols, Mosseyes, she told herself. And a search party for Amberstar.

The deputy's eyes swept the Clan camp. Most every cat was awake by now.

Mosseyes leaped onto the Tallrock.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather around the Tallrock for a Clan meeting." Her voice boomed around the camp.

Brightstorm was one of the first to gather around the Tallrock.

Mooneye who was already sitting in the middle of the clearing, stopped talking with Lightsky, and looked up toward Mosseyes.

Lightsky sighed, "I wonder what's wrong."

Sageleaf yawned as she padded up to them, "What's going on?" She blinked a few times and looked around.

Mooneye sighed, "Mosseyes called a meeting. Are you just getting up?"

Sageleaf smiled, "Yes, I'm sorry. Just a bit tired."

Lightsky faced Mosseyes, "Shh, I want to hear what's going on." She curled her tail around her paws, and sat with Mooneye and Sageleaf to listen.




OOC: Sorry it's kinda short, I couldn't really think of anything to say!

As the cats below started gathering, Mosseyes compiled how to get across her message to the Clan.

"Cats of WindClan, as you know Amberstar has been missing for three sunrises. I will be organizing search parties along with the regular patrols. I'll be leading the first patrol. Goldclaw, Mooneye, would you come with me, please?"

The brown tabby leaped form the Tallrock, waiting for Goldclaw and Mooneye to join her.

Mooneye flicked her ears at the sound of her name, she hadn't been expecting this. She turned her head, and looked at Lightsky. Her friend nodded, and smiled warmly. Mooneye murmured, "I...I.."

Lightsky playfully whipped Mooneye's side with her tail, "You'll be fine. Now go, Mosseyes is waiting." She winked, and turned away.

Sageleaf's eyes caught the worried gaze of Mooneye, and she rolled her eyes. "You don't need to be worried." She tilted her head and purred, "There must be a reason why Mosseyes chose you." She waited a moment longer, then got up and padded over to Lightsky.

Mooneye felt a little burst of pride rush through her body. Sageleaf was probably right, and the fact that it was Sageleaf who had said that, was even more exciting. Mooneye hadn't talked to her very much, Sageleaf was an independent cat, who kind of kept to herself most of the time. A slight breeze rolled through the camp, and shook Mooneye from her thoughts. She looked around for Mosseyes, and quickly spotted her. Then she got up, and lightly trotted to where she was waiting.
