Featherdanc awoke next to Rivertail. She was warm thankfully, because it had snowed last night. Snow would of helped the fire to go out. She smiled and rested her head on Rivertails flank. The snow was melting reveiling newly sproutinf flowers.

Rivertail yawned, and blinked his eyes open. Then he turned his head to face Featherdance, as soon as his eyes met hers, a warm feeling pulsed through his body.
He flicked his tail and looked around, "I think you should stay here for awhile longer. Then..." He sighed, "Then, you can go back to Thunderclan... If that's what you want."
Rivertail leaned and licked her neck, then purred, "Are you hungry? I can go catch something?" He lifted his head and breathed in the air, "I think we should stay hidden though, I don't know if those cats are still on our territory."
He swallowed and looked at Featherdance again, "I... I don't want you to leave. If you go back to Thunderclan..I want to come with you, but I need to be here for Mistpaw and her kits." He shook his head, "I can't leave them.. But I can't leave you either." Rivertail paused for a moment, then softly murmured, "Would you, want you stay in Riverclan?" He searched her eyes, strongly hoping that she would say yes, and not create a hard decision for him.

Featherdance blinked her eyes. Flicker. She brushed her tail down Rivertails back. "Rivertail...I..." she didn't know how to tell him. She had no desire to go to Riverclan, but the thought being with-out Rivertaill made her heart ace just thinking about. She sighed. "I don't know what I want to do these days."
She looked at Rivertail lovingly in his eyes. "Rivertail, I love you. But I have to stay with my clan as well you. I see that you don't want to leave your apperntice and fear that whats been going on between us, well that well end up like them." she sighed heavly. "Mistpaw and Nightpaw are having a very hard time. They both are going to be late warriors, most likely in about 5 more moons, they'll start trainning again. I don't want my loyaltys split."
Featherdance looked past Rivertail.

Rivertail sighed, "Mistpaw just seems so... I don't know, I feel like she needs me here. And the kits, they are.. Going to need all the help they can get." He pressed his muzzle against Featherdance's shoulder, "I can't leave Mistpaw, or you... I can't be in two places..." He shook his head, "And if Nightpaw is going back to Thunderclan, Mistpaw won't have him with her." He twitched his whiskers, "I have to stay with Mistpaw, I just have to."
Rivertail nestled his neck into the beautiful she-cat's fur. "Featherdance, please, stay. I love you, I need you." He searched her eyes, "Please... Stay with me. You can help me take care of Mistpaw and her kits." He sighed, "Please, Featherdance. I love you..."

Featherdance heavly sighed. "Our clans are like two totally different worlds. Both being hard yo leave because of who you are. Rivertail..." A single tear fell from her cheek. "i love you dearly, more then you could imagen. The though of leaving you, breaks my heart!" Featherdance rested her tail on Rivertails shoulder.
"Yet my loyaly is to my clan. Rivertail, I have goals. I want to become Thunderclans deputy, grow old and become an elder of thunderclan. I hate water, and fish..." she sighed. "My love, I would be an outcast. I must stay with my own clan and you as well."

Rivertail felt a pang of sadness shoot through his body, and it left chills along his spine. He pressed his head against Featherdance's neck, "I can't leave you, I just... Can't..." He closed his eyes, and sighed. After a few moments he open them, and murmured, "I understand your reasoning for not wanting to leave, and... If Thunderclan is where you'll be happy, then that's where I want you to be." He twitched his whiskers and continued, "But for me to be happy, I need to be with you, Featherdance. So...." He took a breath, "I'll come to Thunderclan with you."
Rivertail flicked his tail, "I know Mistpaw and her kits are in good care here. Dawnlight won't let anything happen to them, I trust her." He swallowed, "And I'll come back from time to time, and visit them. And... Mistpaw will understand why I'm going with you, since she once left to be with the one she loved too." He licked Featherdance behind the ear and purred, "I'm coming with you, I'll always be there for you. I love you, Featherdance."

Featherdance purred in comfort. "Rivertail, you wont be happy in Thunderclan I can tell. Your heart belongs with the river, you'll never be able to swim without causing war between Thunderclan and Riverclan. This wont work."

Rivertail shook his head, "Featherdance, without you.. I don't think I'm ever truly going to be happy." He stroked his tail against her side, "Please, just let me try to come to Thunderclan. I suppose.. That if I really don't like it, then I can come back." He looked into her eyes, "But if I just have some time to adjust, and if I have you there... I'm sure it'll work out. It, has to work out..."
Rivertail twitched his whiskers as he stared at Featherdance, he couldn't imagine being without her. There was no other cat he had ever wanted to be with so much, and now.. The thought that he might have to live in Riverclan, while she lived in Thunderclan.. It sent shivers up his spine, and made him flinch. Rivertail laid his head against her neck and murmured, "Oh, Featherdance.... What am I going to do..."

Featherdance sighed, finaly for had made her desion. "Why did it have to be you Rivertail?" she murmmered. "The one I love and care for. Your my life partner..." she whispered. She smiled at Rivertail gently.
Rivertail would make a good father if she had his kits. The future would be hard, but this was there desion to make.
Featherdnace turned to Rivertail and mewed. "No...." First soft then it grew into a shout. "No! I wnat let you through your life away for me! Rivertail come back to the persent. You have Mistpaw to take care of! Please Listen!"

Rivertail pressed his head against Featherdance, "I don't care that you're in Thunderclan, and I'm in Riverclan." He sighed, "That's doesn't matter, it can't stop us from being together, I won't let it." He pulled his head away and looked seriously into her eyes, "I'm going to make this work somehow, I promise. And I won't make you leave your home, so we'll go to Thunderclan, if that's where you will be happy." He softly purred, "And, if you're happy, then I'll be happy. As long as I'm with you, Featherdance."
He stared into her eyes for another moment, then got up and stuck his head out of their hiding place. He glanced up at the sky, then looked around. His eyes scanned the forest, taking in every detail. He breathed in the air, catching every single scent that there was a trace of. Then he stayed quiet, and flicked his ears in a circle, making out every sound that could be heard among the trees.
Everything seemed safe, and free of danger. Rivertail backed into the brambles and murmured, "Let's go now, it seems quiet." As he finished speaking, he tenderly laid his tail on Featherdance's shoulder.

Featherdance had douts, but frogot about them as soon as she looked at Rivertail. "Okay..." She got up and followed Rivertail.
