Juniperpaw stood and stretched, awakening from the apprentice's den. Without a mentor, she'd been practicing her skills with the other apprentices.
She lifted her head to scent the air, and padded out confidently. Relying on her sense of smell, she continued towards the center of the camp, then turned to go hunting.
The blind apprentice made her way out, reaching what smelled like a place plentiful of prey.
She scented the air again, now on a search for prey, and scrunched her nose up in disgust.
"What's that?" she muttered, heading towards the smell. It didn't smell like prey, but it didn't smell like something that could harm her either. Juniperpaw hadn't ever smelled anything like it.
