I think that it'd make more sense to wait the full time, even if three months would allow less of a wait. Kits are fun; sure, you can't hunt, but who cares? No apprentice duties, you don't need to battle, you can just play as much as you want. So why rush apprenticeship?

Yes, I agree. But, my mind can be easily changed... ....
I've had fun with Ashkit, even though six months can seem like forever.
By the way, it's almost been six months for Ashkit, Brindlekit, and Featherkit! ;D

See, it takes along time. And before you know it, this site will have more kits then you can handle. I vote for 3 moons.

I vote three moons too. I really can't wait too long. Plus, some clans don't RP kits a lot.
P.S Who will RP as Brindlekit now that Hotaru is leaving?

Oh, good question.

Anyway, shorting the kit aging makes sense to me. If the she-cat pregnancy is shortened, why not shorten the kit aging? Just stating my thoughts. ^^

She-cat pregnancy was lowered by Eight months. And I am nuetral here. Each side has it's pros and cons but I think if we were to shorten it then it should be after the Thunderclan kits get their warrior name. This makes it so Ashkit and all the other kits are not late. Same for the elder kits. This includes the Riverclan kits.

I am pretty neutral here. It can be fun being a kit although it would also be nice to hunt. As Pheo said, there are good points and bad points to each side.
(Modification: On second though, 6 moons seems like too long. I think I will vote for 3 moons.)

Umm... Pheo, are you sure on that one? Or are you mistaking that with human pregnancy? When I was looking something up, it said cat pregnancies averaged around 65 days.

Yeah, I think I'm leaning toward that now, too. It's going to be forever for Ashkit to become Ashpaw if it's six months...

Well if you thank about it, 3 moons is too soon. The kit won't be as ready to hunt as the older apprentices. Plus, the kit with just be done suckling their mother. I now vote for 6 moons.

Booky, I think your confused.
The question is, Should it be six months after birth (equaling six moons), or three month after birth (equaling six moons) to make a kit an apprentice.
Six months would be waiting six months and the kit would be six moons. Three months would be the same thing, one month equaling two moons for the kits.

No I am not confused. See the kit has to gained more strength. If you re-read the 4th book in the 1st series, then you would understand what I am talking about. Trust me, it should be 6 moons(months).
Never mind. forget everything that I have just said.
