Lilykit was nearly six moons. She knew Thunderclan did not have a medicine cat apprentice. She was a kit, but was she ready to leave? Sure, she'd make a great Warrior, but being a Medicine cat had been the kits dream ever since her brother fell deathly ill. She had wanted to cure him, somehow with the help of Longfeather... but he was gone and stupid Dawnpaw had taken Lilykit's rightful place as Medicine Cat. Lilykit was sour and angry. Many cats had believed the kit should have been Longfeather's apprentice - she didn't stare at him like she was in love with him. Longfeather had been like an uncle to the kit, taking care of her when she was small. She owed him so much.
When she had told Dawnpaw she would make a great medicine cat, the kit had lied through her teeth. Lilykit's eyes swivelled back for a second, looking to the way she had came. She let out a small, unhappy sigh, and then looked up to the sky. Longfeather was with her, and he had told her, when she was four moons, she would be his apprentice. But stupid Brightstar ahd told DAWNPAW to be his apprentice! That day was devastating for the kit, and she cried in the den for so so long.
"Greykit, I'm sorry. I can't live in Riverclan knowing my place was unlawfully taken from my grasp." She said, taking a step into the water. It was cool, and rushed over her feet gently. As she waded further in, she felt the current grow stronger. Lilykit could swim like a fish, unlike her brother, who swam like a stone. She pushed off the bank, her webbed paws propelling her forward towards the bank. There was no turning back now. She would never return to Riverclan.
She would never.
EVER.
Return to that clan, not as long as Longfeather was dead and Dawnpaw had her spot as Medicine Cat apprentice. Lilykit couldn't take it any more! She wanted freedom, she wanted to live. Her mother had been Thunderclan anyway, so she also had a place in Thunderclan, but... As Longfeather had said, you couldn't have one paw in each territory. It wasn't right. That was why the kit was leaving. No turning back.
The stars twinkled over her, and beside the figure of Longfeather stood her parents, and... Greykit. Greykit was dead. She couldn't possibly return now. She had no family left... Nothing to return to, nothing she would ever want out of that clan again.
There was no turning back, and there was nothing anyone could do about it. She had her proof she was half clan, now she only needed to get across. She didn't care if she died trying either.

"Lilykit, is that you? What are you doing out here?" The tom would not think any kit, especially a cat who seemed as sensible as this particular one, would escape to cause trouble or put herself at risk. Each pawstep was light and and placed purposefully to the ground, the common was the warrior walked. His white pelt was plastered with water but only a single fish hung from his mouth.
The tom observed her, his eyes and expressions remaining unreadable and undeniably annoying as he took an analysis of her. Claws out, spitting, fur fluffed up and eyes arched in an undeniable glare informed him of her anger, rage and whatever else the kit had been feeling shortly before. She wasn't the nicest cat in the Clan of course, but which ever cat could have displeased her so much that she would run off from camp?
He knew that Longfeather was close to her, he had expected her to be the Medicine Cat Apprentice in fact, but the tom had chosen otherwise and named Dawnpaw his apprentice before he left. Maybe, now that Lightstar thought hard about it, he had recieved word of his departure and made the first suitable cat follow in his footsteps. This thought was fleeting as he reminded himself that there were many cats who had recently left the Clan.
Willowspring, Longfeather, that white she cat and so many more... please, don't let this kit go away too... He almost felt guilty as if he were a bad Clan leader, but as with all of his emotions there wasn't even a twitch on his face or a special sign in his eyes. "Are you all right, little one?"

Lilykit was almost across when Lightstar found her. She managed to get to the other side, and turned to him, her pink eyes sad and angry. "I... I'm leaving because.... Because... I have nothing left there." She said, turning her head and closing her eyes. "Greykit is dead... My parents are dead... And the only cat who felt like family is dead too!"
Lilykit wailed, but she had made her desicion. Nothing Lightstar would say would change the kits mind. "Lo-Longfeather said I was destined for greatness in Medicine, but Dawnpaw kept badgering him, again and again, so he just gave up and took her as his apprentice... and I... I was supposed to be his apprentice. He told me that the day he took Dawnpaw as his apprentice." Lilykit said, sitting down, and shaking the water out of her fur.
"I'm half Thunderclan; not many cats know that. My mother was a Thunderclanner who came to Riverclan when she discovered she was pregnant. I don't even know if my father was my father; it could have been any tom in Thunderclan." Lilykit said, pawing at her tail gently.
"Lightstar, I know a lot of cats have been leaving Riverclan, but, Longfeather told me to go to Thunderclan... He said.... I'd be safe there... I think the cats from the dead plains are going to attack Riverclan next..." Lilykit said, closing her eyes. "I may be a kit, but Lightstar, take heed. 'The moon will turn red, and a phoenix shall rise from the cinders.'." Lilykit said, turning to leave.

((OCC: Oh Lilykit, I bet Longfeather did not say that. And Dawnpaw made a properhies, I think Lilykit should be the chosen cat, and along with it Lilykit message. Read in starting again in the Medicine cat den. I don't think Lilykit can be apprentice because of Crowstar, Alex and Mango decide. Goodbye Lilykit, I hope we can be friends and not rivals.))

[Well, I did create Lilykit before you even joined, and Alex accepted her, saying she could be medicine cat apprentice, plus YOU edited Dawnpaw's form to make her an APPRENTICe. A normal, boring apprentice who gets apprenticed to a warrior therefore you should not be medieince cat apprentice!!!!]
