Silverstorm walked into the Highstones. Guided by the walls next to her she proceeded to the Moonstone. Finding it she lay down and put her nose to it. Instantly she felt a wave of coolness overtake her and she drifted to sleep.
Silverstorm was at Fourtrees. She looked around and wondered if it was all a dream and she would wake up and Dovestar would still be alive. She looked up and there was an extra star in Silverpelt. She sighed. Dovestar wouldn't be coming back. She looked up again and the stars started shifting and moving. Gasping she backed up and watched as the stars became starry bodies as they descended from the heavens.
"Welcome Silverstorm. Are you ready to receive your nine lives?" When the voice talked the voice of Starclan echoed around the area and boomed.
"Yes." Silverstorm said confidentially, "I'm ready.
Echostar, her old leader and mentor said, "I knew you were special," then louder, "With this life I give you courage. Use it well to defend your clan."
Silverwing entered and purred to Silverstorm ,"Thank-you for accepting my kit into your clan. You'll be a great leader." then she said, "With this life I give you justice. Use it well to judge the actions of others."
Longsight padded to her brushing his nose with hers, "You pulled through brilliantly," he said, "With this life I give you loyalty to what you believe to be right. Use it well to guide your clan in times of trouble."
Mistkit, her dead bouncy little sister, ran up practically sprinting, "Hey big sister!" she said before getting serious and saying, "With this life I give you tireless energy. Use it well to carry out the duties of a leader."
Another of her dead siblings came up, her great brother, Graystripe, He winked at her saying, "I knew you would go to great lengths to serve Thunderclan! With this life I give you protection. Use it well to care for your clan as a mother cares for her kits." And with that Silverstorm was suddenly reminded of dya where he had thrown himself onto the Thunderpath to save a kit from another clan. He had died that day.
A relatively small dark tabby padded up. With joy Silverstorm realized her first apprentice. "I'm sorry," she said, "For everything."
Darkpaw nodded, "With this life I give you mentoring. Use it well to train the young cats of your clan."
Sharptongue her father, who died soon after she was born said with a gleam in his eye, "With this life I give you compassion. Use it well for the elders of your clan and for all cats weaker than you."
Morningsong, her deranged mother came up, not insane anymore, "With this life I give you love. Use it well for the cats in your care."
Dovestar, her beloved leader, bounded up, her burning body gone replaced with a shiny rippling coat, stepped up her eyes gleaming "I'm proud of you my deputy," she whispered stepped up her eyes gleaming, "Welcome my Deputy. I knew you would make it here someday," she said, "With this life I give you noblilty and certainty and faith. Use it well as you lead your clan in the ways of StarClan and the warrior code."
Dovestar continued, "I hail you by your new name, Silverstar. Your old life is no more. You have now received the nine live of a leader and StarClans grants you the guardianship of Thunderclan. Defend it well, care for young and old, honor your ancestors and the warrior code. Live each life with pride and dignity.
Pain shot through her the agony of protecting your clan, of getting shocked by lightning in service to the clan. Of just being a leader. Shakily Silverstorm stood up after the pain had abided.
Starclan shouted, "Silverstar! Silverstar! Silverstar!"
Out of no where in particular a voice boomed, "Wake up and head back to camp. Do not tell anyone what happened just tell them you received your nine lives."
Silverstorm woke up soaked in sweat. Then she remembered. Her name was no longer Silverstorm. It was Silverstar
