Mistpaw looked at Rivertail, then whispered, "Actually. I can't really do it. Whenever I try and hunt in the river, I always end up, floating away, under the water, or being slammed into rocks by the current." She sighed, "I just don't get it. All Riverclan cats can hunt in the river, besides me..." Mistpaw looked at Rivertail again, hoping he didn't hear.

Rivertail was listening in on Mistpaw's conversation with Badgerpaw, and she took ker voice to a whisper, he cocked an ear toward them, and listened.
Rivertail knew she'd always had problems with the river. He sighed, wondering what the other apprentices would think, he looked at Mistpaw, who was staring back at him, as soon as she saw him look, she quickly glanced back at Badgerpaw.

Dawnpaw waited for the clan meeting to start, she got to her paws and walked over to Rainfall and sat next to her. "Hi Rainfall, how are you...?" she asked sleepily. She was close to falling over that her paws felt like stone.

Rainfall looked over to see Dawnpaw, "I'm okay. You look tired, what have you been doing?" She mewed. That she-cat looked like she was about to fall asleep, right then and there.
OOC: Miss way, can you post in Loner, we need a medicine cat in their, or an apprentice medicine cat?

Jadeflower laughed.
"Dawnpaw's been taking care of those two sick cats, I think."
Jadeflower still remembered saving Dawnpaw from those two badgers. Her muscles ached just thinking about it.

Rivertail flicked his tail, and looked at Jadeflower, "So, do you have any idea what this whole meeting this is about? I'm heard that it's for the new apprentices." He looked at his own apprentice, and remembered her ceremony. Then he looked at Rainfall, "Do you have an apprentice yet?"

Mistpaw shyly looked at Badgerpaw again, "Um, do you want to go sit over there, away from the warriors." She mewed in a soft voice, hoping that Rivertail hadn't heard her.

Lightfoot had been going out to hunt when she heard Lightstar call. The tortoiseshell padded to the meeting. She wondered if she would get an apprentice. Somehow, she wasn't sure. Maybe she wasn't good enough.

Mousekit walked out of the nursery, she was too young to become an apprentice yet but she hoped that she would become medicine cat apprentice. Next mouth she would be at the age to become a medicine cat apprentice. She looked up at Lightstar, would he get an apprentice today? She started walking over to warriors thinking that she would see her daddy.
Loudtalon sat beside Blazefang he had terrible news, but RiverClan didn't have anything to do with it. He looked up to the sky hoping that "it" wouldn't come. After the fight with Shadow he had been knotted out. StarClan told him that he was going to die, didn't tell when but it still gave him the chills. He knew that most of the warriors are waiting to see if they get an apprentice, he didn't want one. But who knows what Lightstar will do, he does make the choses of the clan. Loudtalon saw Mousekit walking around the warriors, she must be looking for him. He couldn't face her anymore, Shadow said that she was a runt. That must of hurt her, he never told her that but he wished that Shadow was never here in RiverClan camp. Sweat ran down his face, he hoped with all his heart that he didn't get an apprentice.

Silentbreeze padded out of the nursery. Pride glowed in her pale yellow eyes. This was the day... ... The day that those precious little bundles of joy became apprentices. The queen was sure that her kits would be wonderful... That is if they don't wonder off into trouble. Silentbreeze hoped that Gingerkit and Jaggedkit wouldn't take after their father and take a sleepy dive into the river. Oh, that was a story to tell their mentors!
The ginger cat saw that Stonekit had already wandered out.
"Are you excited?" she gently mewed to the kit. Memories brought her back to her apprentice ceremony. She had mostly been relieved since there was nothing to do in the nursery. And excitement had pulsed through her veins at the thought of getting to know Flamepaw, just to have a friend. There were so many things she remembered about their apprentice days, now it wasn't painful to look back on anymore. But, she could never forget the flame-colored warrior.

(Sorry for the delay, everyone! Also, since the issue with Flamekit isn't resolved, he's dead... okay? It happens.)
The tom beckoned foreward each of the kits from Silentbreeze's litter, for the moment staying silent. His eyes swept over the camp, all of whom were already aware of the fact that the kits were ready to be apprenticed. His eyes finally landed on the kits, whom had approached him at last. The pale moon was high up in the air; it would be awhile until the next Gathering*, he noted. The white tom was finally ready, yowling to ancient words to be heard around the camp.
"I, Lightstar, leader of RiverClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon these young cats. They have reached six moons and are ready to learn your ways and your code. Stonekit, Gingerkit and Jaggedkit from this day forward, until you receive your warrior names, you will be known as Stonepaw, Gingerpaw and Jaggedpaw."
His eyes swept over the camp, stopping on a few cats he had considered for mentoring, and allowing the Clan to call out the new names before they learned who would mentor them.

"Stonepaw! Gingerpaw! Jaggedpaw!" Silentbreeze cheered the new apprentices. Pride gleaming from her pale yellow eyes. They had grown up so fast. It seemed like just yesterday that they were playing 'tag' in the camp. Oh, the things they did while they were kits.
