"thanks!" Emberpaw mewed ecstatically.

"But, trust me. In your life the feathers and shells will seem to get even better!" Silentbreze mewed. Maybe those herbs were going straight to her head. This was not her usual behavior. The she-cat shook her head to see if she would go back to her normal self, but it still didn't work.

Longfeather curled his tail over his paws and lifted his chin slightly. He glanced at Silentbreeze and meowed softly, "Oh dear... you seem dismayed." The sand-colored tom didn't have a sixth sense, but he did become keen when a cat was acting flustered.

"Oh, do I? Well thank-you Longfeather." Silentbreeze blurted out. Those herbs were making her her wacky. After I have my kits, I'll be off these herbs and I'll go back to being myself, the she-cat thought.
"Forgive me, Longfeather, I'm not being myself now a days." she mewed softly in apologize.

Longfeather nodded. "Be careful and tend to your health," he mewed softly. A she-cat who was expecting kits was vulnerable to, well, everything. He closed his copper eyes and breathed in, regal pose slumping for a moment.

Silentbreeze nodded her orange tabby head. She had to be cautious when she was expecting kits, especially this litter. The she-cat would do anything to protect her last litter of kits, it would be the worst thing that could happen to her if she lost them.

Emberpaw thought for a moment. "how many hsells have you collected?"

"I only collect feathers," Longfeather mewed bluntly. He felt inclined to answer the apprentice although the question wasn't directed at him. His fetish for heights influenced his hobby of collecting bird down. Swishing his sand-colored tail, he blinked and swept his tongue neatly over his shoulder fur.

"Yes," he replied despondently, "rocks hold no interest with me." He continued to wash his fur, his head and tongue moving rhythmically. Fur beginning to look glossy again, he straightened up and blinked, copper eyes distant.

"Well, I love having both shells and feathers. It gives you a better variety." Silentbreeze mewed. She had seen Longfeather's feathers, and he did collect unique feathers. The orange tabby slightly envied his collection. Though he had been collecting his feathers longer than her.

"Where do you find feathers?" asked the black and ginger apprentice.

Longfeather chuckled, his tail curling in amusement. "You find them... all over," Longfeather mewed softly. Sometimes he found them floating on the river's surface, other times he found them tangled in bushes or lost in the reeds. In all his days he had found many spoils, ranging from a long raven's feather to a bluebird's down. Coveting the tokens, he collected them for one reason alone: to him it felt like he was keeping a part of the creature that owned the skies. Obsessed with heights, it wouldn't be surprising for him to be fascinated with the creatures that conquered gravity and reached the heavens.

Silentbreeze nodded. "But, you can only find shells in one place. On the river shores." she quietly mewed. She loved the fact that feathers are everywhere, so you always have to keep an eye open for them. But, she would always love the shiny and colorful shells that were always in one set place.
