OOC: The continuation of Hopeless and Lost
Mosseyes padded into camp. She hadn't caught anything, but learned of something new. Even brought her to camp.
The she-cat had just gone out to hunt in the old Badger Set, when she discovered that Brightheart, Aspenleaf, Silversong, and Mooneye had found a loner. Any other day, she would run the cat off of their land, but this loner, Cherry, was in need. Heavily pregnant and malnourished.
The tabby was a bit ahead of the other cats. For good reason.
She looked around for a Clanmante who knew Amberstar's current location. She would have to hear about this first. In the end, it was her decision if Cherry could stay, or not.
Mosseyes hoped that Amberstar would allow it. She wouldn't be able to sleep at night if she knew that Cherry was out there with no protection. In the Clan, she would have plenty of food and a safe place to have her kits.

Cherry hesitated behind Mosseyes, pausing at the entrance to the camp. She was overwhelmed by the scents of so many different cats, all in one place. But what froze her most, was really the hostility in the air. Already, cats were turning to stare in disbelief at the pregnant loner, or unsheathing their claws. It was frightening, how all of her thoughts had just about come true. The ripping of claws, the sharp tear of teeth, every unpleasant thing that she had thought of could happen, right now. Including being ripped to shreads. To- hopefully -prevent such things, she rushed back towards Mosseyes, unsure if she was supposed to be following her or not, but unwilling to stay too far away. If any of these cats were to attack, she'd have little chance of winning.

"Oh, are you alright?" Mosseyes mewed to the loner she-cat. She looked frightened.
The tabby scanned the camp. The other cats looked hostile and not trusting. Why did they always have to be this way? Scaring good cats.
"Follow me and stay close." she mewed. She padded toward Amberstar's den, not wanting Cherry to be alone right now.
The thought of Amberstar denying her request nagged her in the back of her mind. What would happen to Cherry if she couldn't stay in camp? She would be fine, wouldn't she? Other loners gave birth and raised their kits on their own, but Cherry didn't seem like other loners. More shy, and afraid. Was she not born into the wild?

Cherry nodded, not meeting Mosseyes' eyes. She was still busy looking at all the hostile cats that seemed to surround her. The loner's fur bristled without warning as a rather loud hiss came from her right. She turned to face the opposing cat, and saw a brown she-cat that was staring at her. Hatred gleamed in the she-cat's eyes. "Well," the warrior spat. "Looks like we're turning into ThunderClan." She stood and padded over, her gait turning into that of a cat stalking prey. This rude she-cat was Owlfeather, a she-cat who hated most cats at first sight. So this wasn't an odd greeting for her. Cherry tried her best to ignore the warrior, but when she saw a paw swiping towards her, she ducked. What was this, some kind of battle? She only came here because she needed help! She wasn't looking for a fight. "Well, at least you can dodge," Owlfeather hissed, sheathing her claws again. "But I'd love to see you actually fight. Bet you couldn't even outrun the slowest kit here."
(( Ha, had to make Owlfeather appear. xD ))

"And we aren't ShadowClan either, Owlfeather. Don't be mouse-brained!" Mosseyes hissed. A ShadowClan cat had told her that a cat that Milkpoppy wanted to join was turned down. She wouldn't want that for Cherry. Her Clanmates could be so irritable!
"Now, stop this nonsense and tell me where Amberstar is!" she hissed, shotting the she-cat a hard stare. The tabby could already tell that this was going to be a long day.

Owlfeather spat in irritation. "Mosseyes, please," she hissed. "This cat has no right in our camp." She rolled her eyes, but then continued. "Amberstar should be in her den, I would guess," she sighed, and turned to head back into the warrior's den. Her tail flicked across Cherry's muzzle, and she glanced over her shoulder. "I bet she was a kittypet," she added, eyes gleaming with sly hatred.
Cherry fought back the urge to bit the awful she-cat's tail as it crossed her face. It wouldn't help her image here, though it would make her feel better. "Mosseyes, are all of the cats going to be like that?" she asked in a small voice. She knew it was a stupid question, but she had to know. She understood that she'd probably have to earn her trust here, but if she was going to be treated like that... she just didn't know how comfortable she'd be.

"Thank you, Owlfeather!" Mosseyes growled. Why did the cats act as heartless as those evil cats in ShadowClan.
Mosseyes hesitated before responding to Cherry's question.
"Well... .... There is Ghostwind." she meowed, knowing that the annoying tom would surely have something to say. Injury, or no injury, he still needed to be punished. Hmmm... What would another good punishment be? Dawn patrol didn't work. Something where he would actually learn his lesson.
She would have to think of that later. Mosseyes padded toward Amberstar's den, hoping that she was there.
"Amberstar?" she meowed.

Owlfeather smirked in the only way a cat can- by slightly baring her teeth. "Of course, oh wonderful deputy," she sneered, and dissappeared into the warrior's den.
Cherry watched as Owlfeather left, then turned back to Mosseyes. She didn't want to speak anymore, because she knew that this Amberstar would have the greatest influence on her staying. And as the she-cat, who was the only thing protecting her from being torn apart right now, spoke her name, she knew it was better for her to stay quiet.

Silverleaf had just come back from hunting, and was trying to find Cherry. "Oh no.." She said to herself. "Owlfeather found her." She said to continue her thought. She trotted over to Cherry. "Hear is some prey for you. That is, if you want it." Silver mewed politely. Silverleaf wanted Cherry to feel more welcome than Owlfeather gave her.

Amberstar stood in camp, watching what appeared to be a new cat being escorted by Mosseyes. Her ear swiveled forward to catch the noises that accompanied the scene. Amberstar heard spits, hisses, and rude comments by the clan's stinker, Owlfeather. The leader was enraged. This was no way to treat a guest.
"SILENCE!" Amberstar roared, sprinting to check the cat out. "This cat is our guest!"
The leader faced Mosseyes. "Why are you letting this outsider into camp?" she bellowed. Her deputy had to have a reason.

Mosseyes took in a deep breath. "Brightheart, Aspenleaf, and Mooneye found her in the Abandoned Badger Set. She was starving and malnourished. And on top of that, she looks to be new to the wild and heavily pregnant." she meowed.
"We thought, if you would allow her to stay, she could have her kits here. Where she could be safe." she finished. The tabby she-cat hoped so desperately that Amberstar would approve.
It was still new-leaf, after all, and prey was running well. WindClan could afford to take one more cat, that would have more, couldn't they?

Cherry's eyes widened further as another cat, who had to be Amberstar, racing over towards her. The loner flattened herself to the ground, ears back and tail low. She had no idea how to react, so she settled for somewhat submissive, but stil defiant in case she were to attack. "H-hello..." she stuttered, knowing it was probably better for her not to speak, but unwilling to stay silent. It just seemed odd for her to keep quiet when she was the one who was trying to be accepted by a leader.

Amberstar acknowledged Mosseyes, and turned back to cherry, her eyes and tone softer than before. "Stand up." Amberstar said. "Look into my eyes. Tell me your name."

Cherry cringed, but the leader's voice seemed to have softened. She stood, as told, but her ears remained flattened. "My name is Cherry," she meowed, her voice surprisingly strong compared to how she felt. "I didn't know that I was in this... WindClan's territory, until these four cats found me. I meant no harm then, and I only came here because they insisted. If I'm not welcome, I'll leave." she added, because she didn't want to appear weak and needy.

Nightksy quietly observed the scene from a short distance. She was not going to cut in to the conversation, for that would be rude and disrespectful to Amberstar. Looking at Cherry, Nightsky did see how pregnant Cherry was. The poor loner looked horrible, Nightsky only hoped that Cherry would be permitted to stay.

Ghostwind stumbled to Cherry, "Whhho woulddd thiiis be?" he stutered. He closed his eyes and tried to concentrate. What was wrong with him?

Mosseyes narrowed her eyes at Ghostwind. He wasn't really doing this right now? Was he? Amberstar had already told the rest of the Clan to stay silent. But, of course, Ghostwind had some sort of selective hearing, and he probably didn't select to hear that.
"Ghostwind, couldn't you go out hunting or something?" she hissed.
It would be helpful to everyone if he wasn't in camp right now. All he was plausible of was causing trouble. And that did not do any good to anyone. Now, did it?

Amberstar turned to Ghostwind, her eyes blazing with fury. "Ghostwind, you have earned yourself apprentice duties. You shall take care of the elders with the apprentices, and sleep with the apprentices. Well, get to it!" the leader barked.
Turning back to Cherry, Amberstar continued to ask her questions, to see what exactly the queen wanted to do in WindClan. "How long do you wish to stay here?" Amberstar asked.

Cherry politely ignored the newcomer, Ghostwind. She didn't want anything to do with another cat like Owlfeather, and according to Mosseyes, he was worse. "Well, at least until my kits can come with me," she mewed hesitantly. "Or as long as I'm welcome. The cats who brought me here, they told me a bit about life here, and I could help as long as I stay. I won't be a burden, I know how to hunt and the like. I just... the kits just take so much out of me, I don't have much energy any more. And I am sorry, I didn't know any cats claimed this territory... I couldn't catch anything anyway, but I'm sorry that I tried to steal prey." She watched Amberstar warily, wondering if she was speaking too much or not enough, and if she was making any sense with how often she changed the subject without noticing.

Amberstar nodded, and contemplated what Cherry was asking. Before she would make her decision. she thought of one more thing. Amberstar heard of twolegs removing the claws off of cats. No one really knew where Cherry came from. She could be a runaway kittypet.
"Cherry, I have one last question for you. Do you have claws? Show me, please."
