Loner

[~Spring~]

Swiftshadow was a patient cat, and swished his tail about, waiting for Rainfall to answer. He wasn't trying to act hostile towards the loner, he just wanted to know about him. Besides, I'm pretty sure he would win in a fight. I might be fast, but he is bigger than me. He thought.

[Swimfast]

Blizzard looked at Rainfall, seeing that she was troubled, he laughed and mewed, "Don't trouble yourself over me. I'll survive, as I have been for my whole life." He looked at the other cat, then back at Rainfall, "I think I'm making your clan mate nervous, I'll return to the Carrionplace. But I'll be back. I promise."

Rainfall was surprisingly glad to hear that he would be back. But she didn't show it, for Swiftshadow was still next to her, and she didn't want him to think to much about this. "Thanks." She whispered to the loner. Then she looked at Swiftshadow for a reaction.

[~Spring~]

He turned toward the loner and said, "I guess I'll go back to hunting now..." Swiftshadow stopped after a couple steps and then turned back saying, "By the way, I don't know your name yet. I'm Swiftshadow." A subtle grin spread across Swiftshadow's face as he waited to the loner to respond.

Rainfall was kinda surprised on Swiftshadows reaction. She has always liked Swiftshadow, he was her best friend. "I'll come with you." She said. She didn't want any other cat to come along, and see Blizzard. "Bye Blizzard. Be careful." She mewed to the loner.

[Swimfast]

Blizzard looked deep into Rainfall's eyes, getting a good image of them before he left so he wouldn't forget what they looked like while he returned to his home. Now that the other clan cat was gone, Blizzard trotted over and lightly nuzzled Rainfall's nose with his own, "I'll miss you.." He said, then he turned and kicked into a full sprint, back toward the Carrionplace.

Rainfall was overwhelmed by what Blizzard, and after he left, she couldn't get it out f her mind. It was much harder to focus on catching fish, but she did catch some.

After she caught enough fish, she went back to the camp. But she was more perky than ever, and frankly, she didn't know why. She thought it was the fact that Blizzard came into her life, but she wasn't sure.

[Swimfast]

Blizzard couldn't stop thinking about the she-cat named Rainfall. He even almost ran into a tree, he was so, dazzled by her.

Blizzard knew he wouldn't be able to stay away long. So he began planning his return...

[~Spring~]

Swiftshadow had not thought much about the loner, and almost forgot about him until he saw Rainfall. "Hey Rainfall. How many fish did you get?" He asked, trying to be friendly. She seems pretty perky. That's good. Swiftshadow thought.

He plopped his fish down in the fresh kill pile, happy to be able to feed the clan well. Fishing was one of his favorite things to do.

"Ten...." She was lost in thought. "Oh sorry Swiftshadow, what was your question?" Rainfall said as she was back to the present time. She didn't even remember how she got back to the camp, how out of it was she.

[~Spring~]

"Uhh, never mind....." Swiftshadow mewed, rather quietly. What's going on with her..... He thought. She isn't acting very normal, maybe somethings wrong... "Hey Rainfall, is something the matter?" Swiftshadow asked, curious about what Rainfall was thinking.

"No, why? Does their seem to be something wrong with me?" Rainfall purred. She thought that she was in a very good mood, so she didn't know what Swiftshadow was talking about. 'But maybe their is something wrong with me.' She thought to herself.

[Swimfast]

Blizzard was so out of it, as he ran, he suddenly got a smell of something, not a cat. The Thunderpath, he skidded to a stop, he didn't mind crossing it, it didn't bother him as much as it did some other cats. He looked both ways, then lunged onto the warm hard terrian, and ran across. Lunging onto the grass just as a contraption rumbled across.

[~Spring~]

"Oh, no thats not what I meant, I just think that you've seemed a bit out of it since Blizzard came here. Not that there's anything wrong with that." Swiftshadow mewed as he shrugged a bit. He walked away and sat down with his tail swishing about, wondering what was up. She just isn't acting the same.... He thought.

[Swimfast]

Blizzard kept running for the Carrionplace, and as he ran, he felt himself crying, tears were dripping from his eyes. He was shocked, he had never cryed before. Never. Not when he was sad, he'd never been really sad before, nor not when he was in pain. He had never cryed, until now. there was something about that she-cat, he cried just thinking about her, and the thought that there was a slight chance that he may never see her again.

Blizzard shook his head, angry now, he wasn't going to fret over this. He'd just met her, and she was clan cat. He didn't even know if she felt the same way about him. But, then he decided he had to find out, so he stopped, seeing the Carrionplace just ahead, and then looking back toward the Thunderpath, which way to go....

Rainfall wasn't sure what was going on herself. How am I going to start acting myself again, she thought. "Can you help me, Swiftshadow?" She purred, she wasn't sure if he could or not, but it was worth a try.

[~Spring~]

"Well, Rainfall, what exactly do you think is making you act like this? You seem happy, but just out of it." Swiftshadow mewed, trying to sound like he knew what he was talking about. He walked over closer to Rainfall and sat down.

[Swimfast]

Blizzard shook his head, and without looking back toward the Carrionplace, he sprinted back towards the Thunderpath. He was in too much of a hurry to look both ways, he jumped onto the Thunderpath, and dashed across. He lunged back into the trees, and let out a breath, he didn't realize he'd been holding it. Blizzard dove over a fallen tree, and looked up at the sky, it was still about sun high. He had planty of time.

He came to the twoleg bridge,, and carefully trotted across, looking down upon the water. seeing Rainfall, he growled at himself, then kicked back into a run. Blizzard rain along the river bank, not wanting the get caught by the other Riverclan cats, he trotted along the river, then stopped, and sat. Looking at the trees, he sniffed the air. Ahh, Rainfall's sweet scent was still there. He flicked his tail, eyes still watching the trees, hoping she would smell his scent, and come to him.

"Well thats just it, I don't know." Rainfall was hoping that Swiftshadow could read her mind, so that he could figure it out.

What was she going to do?

[Swimfast]

Blizzard was beginning to shake, he couldn't wait for Rainfall, he needed her now! Growling he ran into the trees, ignoring all of the weird scents that invaded his nose. He was only focused on one specific smell, Rainfall's. He lunged into the Riverclan camp, and saw Rainfall and that other cat Swiftshadow sitting quite close. This almost broke Blizzard, but he wasn't a little clan cat. He was, Blizzard, and he wasn't going to break that easy.

Blizzard jumped toward Swiftshadow, closing on him quickly, ignoring the eyes of the other Riverclan cats, that were watching him, startled. He was getting closer to Swiftshadow when he realized he couldn't get ot him, unless he plowed through Rainful. He skidded to a stop, panting, looked straight at Rainfall, that was all he could do.
