Loner

[Swimfast]

Blizzard walked along the edge of the river, quietly, the Carrionplace, and it's reeking oversized rats were beginning to grow on him, and he needed to eat something else. He quietly slipped into the water, until it lapped at his stomach, his peircing eyes scanned the water, for any movement. He was looking for something big, and he knew he had to do it fast, and get off of Riverclan territory as soon as he could.

Suddenly, a sleek, silver body darted by, just in front of him, he reached out with his paw, and unsheathed his long claws, and scewered the fish, it wriggled, and tried to escape, but Blizzard had it firmly. He climbed back onto the riverbank, and flung the fish onto the rocks, it stopped flinging around, and Blizzard quickly dug in, chomping away on everthing, he even crushed the bones, and ate them, he didn't want to leave any evidence that he had been there.

Blizzard's throat was also very dry, these were the troubles about being a loner, he quietly trotted back to the river, and scanned the trees before he bent down to quickly lap up the water.

Rainfall was walking through the trees to get to the river. As she got closer, she smelled a scent that was unfamiliar.

When she got to the river she saw another cat, a loner. "What are you doing here." She growled to the multicolored cat.

[Swimfast]

Blizzard jerked his head up, and looked at the cat, he had been caught, he backed away from the river, growling a warning at the cat, he unsheathed his long claws, and his fur stood straight up. He slowly advanced closer to the cat, then hissed, and lunged, reaching out to grab and pin the cat, he hissed again.

Rainfall knew that the loner was getting ready to attack. As the tom was in the air she dodged to the right, but then pined him down to the ground. Sh e knew that he was bigger, but she also knew that she was a better fighter then him. She started to growl again, and sniped at his ear. Soon after, blood was oozing out.

[Swimfast]

Blizzard felt part of his ear being snipped off, how dare this little clan cat challenge him! He kicked the cat off of him using his back legs, then then grabbed a tuff of it's fur between his paws and pulled the cat down, then sunk hus teeth into it's shoulder. He bit down as hard a she could. Then pulled back, ready to bite the cat again, when he realized it was a she-cat, a beautiful, she-cat. Blizzard was dazed for a moment, and he couldn't bring himself to attack her again.

Rainfall was surprised on the attack that the loner did. Pain shot through her shoulder, how dare that tom do that to her. Rainfall was watching his eyes, he was going for another bit, but didn't. Why? She thought. "Do you give up?" She hissed. He had a perfect chance of killing me, and he didn't. Something must be wrong here, she thought.

[Swimfast]

Blizzard looked sharply at the she-cat, "No! I do not give up, I never give up a fight. I could have easily....." He trailed off, not wanting to say what he was going to say, he looked into her beautiful eyes, "I'll let you go. I'm sorry, for, attacking you." He looked at her gushing shoulder, "Are you okay?"

Rainfall was puzzled by the response that he gave. "Ya, I am ok." She said still confused. She was really lying though, but she didn't want him to think that she was weak. Rainfall looked at the unknown tom's ear. "Your ear looks horrible, are you ok?" Now she felt bad for beating him up, and he was being to caring.

[Swimfast]

Blizzard flinched his injured ear, "Oh, yeah, I'm fine." He looked at the beautiful she-cat, "I'm Blizzard, I'm not from around these parts, I'm a loner, and I mostly live around the Carrionplace." He searched her eyes, "But, don't be afraid, I'm not as hostile as some of the cats from that place." He sat, and stared at her, "And you are?"

"Ya, I could smell that you were a loner." She said calmly. Rainfall hesitated on giving this loner her name. "I-I am um, I am Rainfall." But she said it proudly. "Why are you over here?" She continued. It was strange to see a loner in Riverclan territory, they haven't seen one in awhile.

[Swimfast]

Blizzard looked her over, "Rainfall..." He mewed back. He swished his tail, Rainfall had a nice sound to it. Then he looked sternly at her, "Why am I here, you ask. Because I need to eat, and drink. And I'm tired of the reeking, oversized, wet, and squishy rats that I usaully eat in Carrionplace. And there is no water near there, so I usaully drink near the Falls, because there are uasully no clan cats there." Blizzard looked at the ground, "But I didn't sleep well last night, so I'm tired, and I didn't want to travel all the way there today, so I decided to drink here. And have some fish, it's be so long, since I've had fish." He looked at Rainfall, knowing that he was still in trouble, and she was still a clan cat, with a job. He watched her, closely.

Rainfall knew that loners had some troubles. "But that doesn't mean you should come and steal our food and water. For we have many more cats that need to be fed, and sometimes food is scarce. So we need at much as we can get. Do you understand?" She meowed firmly. Blizzard seemed like a nice cat, and she did not want him to think that she was mean. Her life was dedicated to Riverclan, why did he have to come along? She thought.

[Swimfast]

Blizzard bowed her head, "I understand. But there is plently of water in the river and..." He thought, that doesn't mean there was plenty of fish, "Yes. I'm sorry....I guess I'll go back to Carrionplace...." He thought about the long way back, then looked at Rainfall, hoe could he leave such a beautiful cat. He had even stopped fighting her, Blizzard had never felt this way before. He looked at Rainfall, hoping she would say something, like, don't leave, or, no, please stay. But he couldn't expect that from her, after what he had done, he looked at the she-cat, "It was nice to meet you, Rainfall." He looked into her lovely eyes again, then found that he couldn't turn around.

Rainfall had this felling in her stomach, what was it? She felt bad, because he looked so thin. "Ah.........." was she really going to say this. "When was the last time you have eaten?" She meowed caringly. She did not want any cat to go hungry, for she knew how that felt.

[Swimfast]

Blizzard thought, "About a day or two ago. Not too long. Although I could easily catch those fat rats in the Carrionplace, I chose not to eat them. They get...old, after a while. So I've been traveling around, looking for other food. Like most other loners." He sighed, he was still hungry, but he figured that the fish he'd caught in the river would hold him out for a while. He looked at Rainfall, "Really. I'm okay. I'm not that hungry, after eating the fish. Thanks. And I'm really sorry for taking the fish in the first place..." Blizzard looked at the she-cat again. Wondering what was going through her mind, because at the moment, he didn't even know what was going through his own.

[~Spring~]

Swiftshadow was walking around camp, without much to do. He was beginning to grow bored, he had already been out hunting today. I guess I could do a bit more hunting in the river. He thought. Swiftshadow was an extremely fast cat, and therefore, a very good hunter and a good fighter.

He walked along the riverbank when he noticed Rainfall talking to a cat he had never seen before. Who is that?! He thought. Swiftshadow sprinted over towards Rainfall and stood up next to eachother. Swiftshadow was a bit on the small side for a tom his age, but he puffed out his chest and arched his back to make himself look more intimidating, and his amber eyes gazed at the intruder as he asked Rainfall, "Who is this?" Swiftshadow wasn't planning on fighting but just in case, he was ready.

Rainfall felt bad for lack of choice in food that loners have, especially Blizzard. "But doesn't some rats havew some type of disease?" She said, then realizing that this loner could have been dead before she met him. That thought made her even worry more.

[Swimfast]

Blizzard chuckled, "Yes, they could. And most of them at the Carrionplace do. But, there has been nothing else to eat for us loners. Until we got sick and tired of them, and started to hunt on clan territory. Again, I'm very sorry. But, you have to understand my situation.."

He looked at the other clan cat, and growled at the rather small tom, "Back off...I'm not going to attack you, or your friend. Rainfall, could you please expain things to this....friend of yours...." Blizzard didn't want to hurt any cats of the same clan as Rainfall. So he left her to the explaining.

[~Spring~]

"Ok, I wasn't planning on attacking.." Swiftshadow took a step back, and sat down. He whispered into Rainfall's ear, "So who is this? I can tell he's not from the clans, he looks a bit melnourished." Swiftshadow raised his eyes a little bit and raised his head ever so slightly. His amber eyes revealed a hint of curiousity.

Rainfall didn't know what to do. There was a loner that was kinda starving, and a clan mate. "I uh........" She didn't know what to say. She wanted Swiftshadow to understand Blizzards situation, but it might sound like I was putting a loner over my clan. She thought about that for a long time. "Well....um...." She couldn't bring herself to say anything. What to do, what to do. She thought.
